I enjoy cars, dealing on cars, and keeping my cars in good shape. At the age of 68 I have bought a number of cars and dealt with all types of sales and service staff. These days I keep a car 1-2 years, good shape. At the age of 68 I have bought a number of cars and dealt with all types of sales and service staff. These days I keep a car 1-2 years, and I switch makes based on what I think will be a good "ride". I have been in the Northern Virginia area since '84 and visited dealerships in many parts of the MD and VA areas. The is the first time I have been totally impressed with everyone involved in buying, financing and servicing a new car, and, believe me, I will WALK if I even feel that staff is not interested in my business. First, I met Russell, a sharp, knowledgeable salesperson; then I met Derek, a can do, straightforward manager; next I met Jimmy, a smart, amiable finance manager; and finally, I met Trish, a thorough, highe energy service person. My first impression of all of them was that they are a great team, but they are more than that. They are a total package that breathes and personifies customer satisfaction. The hand-offs were so seamless and smooth that I thought I was dealing with friends rather than conducting business, and I know the difference and I never forget it is business. Yet, they built my trust in them from the beginning. What they can do, they will do. If they cannot, I got that response up front. If I wanted to deal some, they eagerly talked with me and we discussed alternatives and options in making a deal. I cannot recall how many times they said "...we want you to be satisfied..." was stated, but it was a lot. Most of all, they meant it and proved it from beginning to end. They were so good at sales and service that I wish I could go there to buy groceries, hardware, clothes, or whatever, because they "get it" when it comes to customer satisfaction. Oh, and they offer fine vehicle and every one of them is PROUD to sell and service a SUBARU. Take a BOW, fantastic Subaru team! More
I wanted a new Subaru Forester,I'd already done all the research and this would be my fourth one. When we sent out an email about what we were looking for, Mr. Delph promptly responded to us by phone and research and this would be my fourth one. When we sent out an email about what we were looking for, Mr. Delph promptly responded to us by phone and email concerning having exactly what we wanted in stock. We met Russell Delph the next day, and he had the vehicle ready for us to test drive. He told us about the vehicle, knew his material, told us about options and let us test it as long as we wanted. He was very courteous and polite. No pressure to purchase which makes him outstanding. More
I recently went to this location to purchase a new Subaru Outback. The finance guy that they call pineapple was awesome and he definitely worked with me and made me feel comfortable. Matt was okay, perhaps not the most experienced salesman but Derek was the rudest car salesman/manager I have ever encountered. Derek really made me feel as if he didn't want my business-he was extremely condescending and even said to me "this is economics 101" as he proceeded to give me, an actual college graduate, a lesson on supply and demand. Needless to say, I decided to take my business elsewhere and am happy that I did. Don't purchase here-go somewhere where you'll be treated with respect. Derek needs a lesson in customer service 101. Great experience! When called a competitor to let him know we had made a decision he congratulated us but bemoaned the fact that he had lost a customer for life. He said not only would we love the Subaru know we had made a decision he congratulated us but bemoaned the fact that he had lost a customer for life. He said not only would we love the Subaru and not need a car for a LONG time, but that the Brown family was great to work with and we would not want to shop elsewhere. Pretty good recommendation to have come from the competition. Would highly recommend! More
We recently purchased a 2011 Outback from Brown's. We are thrilled with the vehicle and the buying experience. We were not only able to take a lengthy test drive on multiple vehicles, but they allowed us to thrilled with the vehicle and the buying experience. We were not only able to take a lengthy test drive on multiple vehicles, but they allowed us to take a vehicle home overnight to make sure it would work for us. No one pressured us, nor did we have to play the price game. We had done our research and knew what the price of the car should be. Derrick gave us a price that was under what I was expecting to pay for the vehicle. All three gentlemen took the time necessary to explain the vehicle's features and operation. All in all this was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Based on our experience thus far, I have already recommended the vehicle and the dealer to several friends. More
I did not think it possible to have such a painless, quick and friendly car buying experience. I was amazed at the service I got and the willingness to work with me to give me exactly what I needed. First of all, my car (’01 Volks Passat Wagon) was totalled by a negligent driver a few weeks before the New Year and had been suffering the “car buying experience” ever since. My wife and I have been proud owners of a ’00 Subaru outback for many years and knew we wanted our replacement vehicle to be just as reliable, safe and utilitarian as our old one. And as you probably guessed, our choices narrowed down quickly to another Subaru. One day before New Year’s eve, my wife found an enticing advertisement on the Brown’s Subaru of Manassas website and thought it was worth 2.5hr (rush hour) drive to Manassas. She was right (as usual). I managed to pull into the dealership well after closing time and pitch black. Eric was patiently waiting, with a smile and had the outback I was interested in ready for inspection and parked conveniently under some spot lights. I was immediately and pleasantly surprised that he gave me plenty of time by myself with the vehicle, and even when we went back to his desk, was at no time pressuring or overly conversant that I was used to at other dealerships. The discussion I had with Eric about the vehicle was simply to ensure that this particular vehicle would be suitable for my family, and that I would be happy and confident about the purchase. Eric was by far the top salesman I have dealt with over the past three weeks, and quite frankly, changed my impressions about the business ! When I was on the fence about purchasing the vehicle without having my wife look it over as well as my mechanic in Maryland, Yogi came over and sealed the deal with what I would consider unorthodox procedures. We agreed on a purchase price, and with Yogi’s expert consultation I was confident enough to leave the dealership in my new ’06 outback for a test drive back to Maryland and to have the vehicle fully inspected the next day. I was thrilled. Needless to say, we kept the vehicle. We have already passed along several recommendations to our friends and relatives about the dealership and will not hesitate to return for our next vehicle purchase. Yogi and Eric are a great team and I am thankful for their careful attention to my needs, concerns and making this whole car buying experience very simple and quite pleasant. The Ingrams are now a two-Subaru family and wouldn’t have it any other way. More
All were courteous, polite, professional, and very helpful! They made the purchasing of a new car a pleasant experience. This experience was the best one that I have had purchasing an automobile. This helpful! They made the purchasing of a new car a pleasant experience. This experience was the best one that I have had purchasing an automobile. This is my 3rd Subaru, so I know the car very well. My last Subaru was totaled about 3 weeks ago, so the thought of purchasing a new one was not high on my list of pleasant things to do. These people made the experience pleasant and I thank them very much for it. More
Today I got an oil change for my Subaru. I had a coupon that I recieved in mail advertising 3 oil changes in a year for only $59.99. I thought that's a great deal. I was shocked when the lady asked me to that I recieved in mail advertising 3 oil changes in a year for only $59.99. I thought that's a great deal. I was shocked when the lady asked me to pay $29 + change. What? I wanted to pay only $60 for whole year. She goes yes I put this coupon in the computer and you are getting $19.99 credit towards your oil change. Now do the math yourself. With that coupon I paid about $51 for my one time oil change. Isn't it a rip off or what? Unbelievable. I didn't have minded if I had to pay $30 for the oil change without the coupon. But if you are lying, that is really BAD. More
