On Route 95 we had the misfortune on a trip to Fairfax, VA of being hit by a huge piece of tire that was on the road. It did considerable damage to the front bumper and the area under the front of the car VA of being hit by a huge piece of tire that was on the road. It did considerable damage to the front bumper and the area under the front of the car. It was around 3:30 PM and we called Subaru to find a close dealer. They told us about Brown's Manassas Subaru on Liberia Avenue which was not far at all from where we were. That was incredible luck. When we got to the dealership we were helped by Trish Montgomery, Service Consultant. who was kind, very efficient, polite, sympathetic, and incredibly helpful. The service department removed a piece of protective material that was damaged when the tire hit the car. the protective material was dragging on the ground. They did not store replacement parts of this type and the car was driveable so we paid for their service and left. We are going to a body shop near where we live for the repairs. We were very pleasantly surprised with the fact that they were able to help us when we just "showed up." We were in and out of the Subaru dealership in no time at all. We are incredibly grateful for their help. I would appreciate it if a copy of this be sent to Brown's Manassas Subaru. More

Beware any vehicle "priced to sell" at Brown's Manassas Subaru. In March 2011, my girlfriend and I purchased 2 vehicles; a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and a 2008 Subaru Legacy. Our sales a Manassas Subaru. In March 2011, my girlfriend and I purchased 2 vehicles; a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and a 2008 Subaru Legacy. Our sales assoicate was Erik Bukhari and the sales transaction was facilitated by the General Sales Manager,Derek Ryan. This review is in reference to the 2005 Jeep. The Jeep was "priced to sell" at $9995, which was low enough to entice me to make the drive from Arlington to Manassas to check it out. Since my purchase in March, the Jeep has experienced chronic engine issues which ultimately resulted in replacing the entire engine (it lasted about 3 weeks before it was undriveable). In total the vehicle was in the shop for over 80 days and I have spent an additional $8400 getting the engine in working order (it ended up needing an entirely new engine). I intitially reached out to Erik for assistance in getting the vehicle repaired and was told the dealership didn't have the overhead to help me out. I have also reached out to Derek several times but he has not responded to any of my inquiries. I understand the risk inherent in purchasing a vehicle "as is" but based on the fact that Erik told me he personally purchased the Jeep for the dealership and the cyclical occurence of the engine issues I find it reasonable to believe the dealership was aware of the issue and is why the vehicle was "priced to sell" in the first place. Besides the considerable additional cost and inconvenience of finding a way to and from work for nearly 3 months without a vehicle, what I find most reprehensible is the fact that my attempts to reach out to the dealership have been ignored. The type of dealership that doesn't even have the courtesy to offer a "sorry for your luck" response after hearing of the problems I have experienced with one of their vehicles is not the type of place I would recommend to anyone. Buyer beware when purchasing a used vehicle from Erik and Derek; once the paperwork is finalized on your sale, customer service is essentially absent. More
I went to buy a car about two months ago that day they were so nice. I gat the car and they gave me a warranty that if the car has something wrong they are going to take care of it. But it was so stupid t were so nice. I gat the car and they gave me a warranty that if the car has something wrong they are going to take care of it. But it was so stupid the car has to many problems when I went to the dealer and ask then to get it fix they said that they are no responsible for it .. I called the state police they gave me some advices so I told the dealer that if they are no going to fix that car Ill returned because it was a lot of many that I have to pay to get it fix. At fisrt they didnt want to take some responsabilities but after i leave the car with the keys they "fix it". So when I went to pick up the car it was worse a brougt it to a different macanic to see if they did fix but the mecanic said that the person that did the work didnt know anything. So I really have a bad experience with these people and plus when I firts went to ask for help for my car Derek Ryan yelled at me so it was really disapointed . I ask for the general manager he never appeared they that he wasnt there . NEVER AGAING I WILL EVEN THINK TO BUY A CAR IN THAT PLACE!! Even my friends I just want to let you guys know what happened to me!!! More
Meridith was outstanding. She wrote back as soon as we made contact and helped us to firm up a hard to find subaru 2011 wrx limited pearl white. We put a deposit on the car and it was delivered as promise made contact and helped us to firm up a hard to find subaru 2011 wrx limited pearl white. We put a deposit on the car and it was delivered as promised. The problem came when we went to trade our Mazada in. The dealership would not even offer what was owed on the vehicle which was 3,000 less that kelly blue book value. We were told they talked to a Mazada dealer who said the market was soft and they could not give us much. We accecpted the even trade of what we owed which was 15,700. A few days later I check the web site to see that that are in line to make 6,000 profit from our vehicle when they could have treated us a little better. I will not deal with this dealership again. Meridith had nothing to do with our not being treated well with our trade and I WOULD highly recomend her if you want to take a chance getting ripped with your trade. More
Derek and Eric made the purchase of my 2011 STI simple and easy. They took excellent care of me and were extremely friendly and fun to talk to, which was not typical of my previous car buying experiences and easy. Overall, very good service! Matt was an excellent sales rep: very knowledgeable about the Subaru vehicles, friendly, laid-back, helpful, easy to work with. He didn't try to push me into vehicles or options rep: very knowledgeable about the Subaru vehicles, friendly, laid-back, helpful, easy to work with. He didn't try to push me into vehicles or options I didn't want -- he just found me cars that matched my priorities. I'll gladly recommend him to people I know. Before I visited the showroom, I put out a request for email price quotes through Edmunds.com. So many replies came back -- voicemails and emails, NONE of them with any price quotes -- that I didn't realize I'd received a reply from another rep at Brown's (Meredith Eden). Since not one dealer sent the price quote I'd asked for, I decided to stop by Brown's, the most convenient dealer to me by location and one with good customer satisfaction ratings. When I entered, Matt greeted me and asked if I'd spoken with anyone there before. I answered honestly that I hadn't. In fact, I never met Meredith (by name at least), even during the several hours I was there buying my Forester. Yet Meredith got primary credit for the sale, and all the emails I've received since then have come in her name. I'm sure she's a good sales rep, but I have no connection with her. I believe Matt did later receive half the credit for my purchase, because he did the work. Maybe this is a seniority thing. Anyway, I just wanted to clarify the backstory. More

There was nothing but professionalism and up-front, no pressure tactic behavior shown throughout this purchase. They all went the extra mile to make the deal happen. I felt as though I was being treated l pressure tactic behavior shown throughout this purchase. They all went the extra mile to make the deal happen. I felt as though I was being treated like an individual that had a need to be met and not like a possible sale only. The price agreed upon and the terms of the deal were beneficial to me as well as fair to the business. I wish that all of my auto purchases were as low stress as this. More
Meredith and Derek made my dreams come true with a 2011 WRX. It was the best car buying experience I have had. In the past 7 years I have bought 7 new cars and have never done a deal that was this smooth a WRX. It was the best car buying experience I have had.
