We went in to buy a specific car (Son's first car) but was steered towards a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with 98,000 miles on it. Was told it would be a good 1st car for our son. Paid $6k for the car. Shortly was steered towards a 2002 Dodge Intrepid with 98,000 miles on it. Was told it would be a good 1st car for our son. Paid $6k for the car. Shortly after getting the car home we noticed antifreeze leaking from the thermostat cover. Took it back and they repaired it. Today the car is toast. It blew a head gasket...antifreeze in the oil and engine block. Car repair place we took it to said it would need a new/refurbished engine. He looked online and could find none available. Reading reviews of the Dodge intrepid the 2.7L engine is a terrible engine. Now we're out $6K and our son has no vehicle to get back and forth to college. Bob McGee More
