My car was inspected by Rydell 3 weeks ago for $225, and 2 weeks later, it broke down, requiring me to tow it back to them at my expense for $300. They then demanded another $225 for a new diagnosis! Their original inspection clearly did not test the 12V auxiliary battery that subsequently failed, leaving me stranded. After a week, they returned the car to me with additional problems (TPMS sensor failure) that they didn't catch. More
The service department, specifically Joe Mendoza, proved to be very efficient. Service needs were well communicated and honest. They paid special attention to an issue that required attention. I have been used to quick-oil change shops, 15-20 minutes. It ought to say in Rydell's e-mail/text reminders that an oil change could take up to 2 hours. I rescheduled. A second star because minutes. I had 3 things to service. I directed them to call me if a service was not covered under warranty to decide if I would get it fixed there or somewhere else but they went ahead I directed them to call me if a service was not covered under warranty to decide if I would get it fixed there or somewhere else but they went ahead and fixed it, told me it was not covered after the fact and charged me without my prior consent. Was also told a tire had a nail but since tire was not from them they couldn't do anything about it. Took the truck to my tire dealer and they couldn't find the nail. Again don't know if what I was told was for a different customer. Not a good experience this time around. More
