Ryan Auto Mall - Service Center

I brought in my 2012 Denali for an oil change and rotation. Never having been there before, I went to the wrong building. After telling the mgr what I needed done, I went to the waiting area. Within 5 minutes the mgr found me and told me I needed a synthetic blend oil which they didn't have. I appreciated his honesty as I imagine other places may have just put in regular oil and sent me on my way. Luckily the mechanic hadn't drained the oil yet and the mgr directed me to the correct Ryan Chevrolet/Cadillac bay where they had the oil I needed. (Very friendly mgr at the 1st place I stopped! Sorry, didn't get his name) Within 10 minutes they had my truck in to service it. While waiting for it, the mgr came out and told me that the tread wear was the same on each tire and I didn't need to rotate them. I had never heard this before and was just going by the old "rule of thumb" of rotating every 7,500 miles. He said he would do it for me but I was wasting my money. I guess I'm still a little unsure of this and will check into it with the dealer I bought it from last November to get their opinion. But I appreciated his opinion and trust he was correct. And loved saving a few bucks! (I just bought this vehicle new late last year and this would have been the 1st rotation.) I am VERY pleased with the way I was treated at both places. Excellent service. I went for the first oil change and inspection. I saw Scott was working and went to say hi. He went back to the service dept and said he was taking care of my visit. I called to see if the service area was busy for an oil change and they were not, so I just stopped in. I had received an email & letter from them and realized my oil needed to be changed! I really like that you can get a nice car wash too, that's a really nice added benefit for less than a buck! More

Had my 2008 Saturn VUE in service a couple of times and that Tom in Service....what a GREAT GUY! It's like I knew him. He treated me with respect and always smiling! only problem I had was at end, picking up my vehicle at 7pm proved to be an adventure... no one knew where it was. 2 guys took my key and went to find it but it took about 10-minutes. Unfortunately I do not know the names of all of the individuals who serviced my truck. I do know however that I have been bringing my Ford trucks to Ryan's Chev for several years to get the best custo individuals who serviced my truck. Ryan's always has friendly and knowledgeable service people working and I feel they are honest and reliable. If servicing my vehicles here cost more than other places, I would still come because I place customer service at the top of my list for where I spend my money, but the prices here are in line with other dealerships. It's always a pleasure to go to Ryan's, they've been taking care of my 2001 Chevy S10 pickup truck since it was bought new there. The guys are all friendly and helpful, the gals at the desk are great, and I really don't mind having to go for maintenance. On this visit, I was warned about my battery's low power before I had a chance to ask about it (it was on my list of things to ask about). I will be moving farther away sometime this year, but I will continue to go to Ryan's for all my maintenance needs, because I trust them there. That's saying a lot, because after some bad experiences with dealerships many years ago, I was really down on them all, and always had a private mechanic. When this truck was bought, my late boyfriend was the one buying it, and he wanted to take it to Ryan's. He didn't have anything against our mechanic (who was excellent), but at the time he didn't have loaners in case my Ranger had to spend the day, or stay overnight, so it required both of us to go so the other one would have a ride home. Believe me, I scrutinized everything the guys at Ryan told him about maintenance. One time it was suggested by someone that it was probably time for a front-end alignment. I told my boyfriend it didn't need one (I knew more about maintenance, and vehicles in general than he did), as I tested it on the road pretty regularly - it was fine. Well, he brought it in for an oil change, and was going to get the alignment too. When he came home, he said the mechanics said it didn't need it. That's when I knew for sure that it was a place I could trust, and why I continue to take the truck there. :o) More
