First of all, Lee Arter is a great guy. I also have a favorable opinion of Jeff Wallis. In all honesty I must say that the "haggling" process is uncomfortable. I had a 10 month old 2011 Honda with just over 4,000 miles that I was completely happy with. I went to the dealership because of a letter I received concerning a vehicle update. I did not NEED a new car, but "the powers that be" first asked that I put down $1000 for a new Civic.I refused, of course, and then they came back with $600 down...to which I refused also. Only then did we reach a deal. I did end up paying roughly $5 dollars more a month on the new Civic..no problem. I am certain that the dealership will make money off me (between the Civic I traded in and the new deal I made). No problem there, either...after all, it is a business. But why send out letters advertising upgrades with no money down and then haggling with customers? More
I dealt with Jason Powell and Chris, his manager when I purchased my new car. Jason was very professional, not pushy and overall was a great person to do business with. For starters they were very rude and talked down to us the entire time! We were looking at a Honda Pilot that we would have purchased if it wasn't for how we were treated! After doing their number game he the entire time! We were looking at a Honda Pilot that we would have purchased if it wasn't for how we were treated! After doing their number game he tells us that we should find a way to get more money...being extremely rude implying that we don't have money. which was not the case at all, they just wanted 3 grand down and 500 a month for a vehicle that was in pretty bad shape. He didn't even run our credit!!!! He just pulled that number out of the air and said that was the final number!! We walked out and went to Park Place Mercedes of Grapevine and got the Touring Pilot which was 3 steps up from the one at Rusty Wallis, and paid half the price! I would not refer anyone to rusty wallis, they are shady and very rude! More
Ryan Cannon was very helpful and not too pushy when it came to selling us the car. Amir Hamghalam was also very helpful as we figured out the financing and respected our decisions to decline some of the came to selling us the car. Our one complaint with our experience was not actually with either of the men we dealt with directly. The car we were interested in was listed online as $15,659. We told the dealership that we would like to purchase it for $15,000. Ryan told us that they rarely come down from the internet price, but that he would run it by his superiors. He took the sheet of paper back to somebody in the back (presumably the person who had to approve or disapprove the negotiation). When Ryan returned to us, this person had written "JUST SO YOU CAN SAY YOU WON," and the price of $15,600 - $59 off the internet price. My wife and I felt that this was very unprofessional and would have much rather him just left the price where it was. While most everything else about our experience was good, this was the sort of thing that would make me hesitate to recommend this dealer to anyone else. More

Buying my new Honda at Rusty Wallis was overall a very positive and pleasant experience. Everyone that I have talked to or dealt with there has been very knowledgeable and helpful. I had gone in August and visited with Paul to look into getting a new vehicle. He was so helpful, with his warm personality and also very straightforward about everything.Unfortunately I was unable to purc getting a new vehicle. He was so helpful, with his warm personality and also very straightforward about everything.Unfortunately I was unable to purchase a vehicle at that time. This month, I tried again. I looked into a few dealerships around town, but they weren't willing to give me the deal that I wanted. I went back to Honda- which are cars I am already partial to (this is my third Honda) and Paul was assisting another customer, but stopped by to say hello and he actually remembered me! I instead worked with Gary Head that night. Gary worked with us quickly- we had brought two little boys with us, just off from work and were very tired and ready to get the deal done and get home. Gary did just that for us. We walked in and were able to drive home our new car that night. The thing is that they really don't work with you much on the price, and we had to re-sign another agreement because they didn't get us the monthly payments they said they would, but it was only an extra $10 a month so it wasn't a huge issue. Technically though, for the price I paid, I could have bought a top of the line, fully loaded Ford Fusion. My Honda was the basic model, with nothing special added inside. The difference in the cars are the fact that a Honda is built to last and made to go over 100k miles. I would never trust a Ford to do that! More
