Bad service experience. Beware of their business practices. After my first visit to the Alcoa shop, I am very disappointed in the service department. Did not give me full information about why my check engine l After my first visit to the Alcoa shop, I am very disappointed in the service department. Did not give me full information about why my check engine light was on. Recommended only regular service (oil change and tune up) so I paid $500 for that. Next day the check engine light was on. Took it back in. Now it's timing chain and more for a cool $3815! If I had known that 2 days before I would have traded my car in for a new car and not done the $500 worth of service. I was told the manager would call me. He hasn't. I will NEVER do business with Rusty Wallace Kia Alcoa. I have been a regular at the Callahan location, but moved to Blount County. The Alcoa store is successful in chasing off business. I am telling everyone I know not to go there. I will never own Kia again. The Alcoa location is shady in their business practices. More
Service Department Took my 2013 KIA in for a engine check light. I was told that my battery caused the engine check light to come on. Would cost around $160 dollars to r Took my 2013 KIA in for a engine check light. I was told that my battery caused the engine check light to come on. Would cost around $160 dollars to replace battery and labor. I passed. Came home and checked my battery with a volt meter. In cause you are wondering if I know how to read a meter, I am an electrician. The battery read 12.4 volts with no load, started read 10.9 volts, running at 14.8 volts which shows the battery and all electrical parts working. Turn on all equipment on the car, volts read at 14.7 volts. You tell me my battery caused the engine check light to come on. The cause was I had not tighten the gas cap. Error code P0455. Auto Zone reset the error and have no came back. So my advice is: to keep your eyes open and both both hands on your money if you have to deal with the service department. You are fore warn. More

Called dealer in every town from Columbia sc to Knoxville, service from Rusty Wallace said they could get a part to fix and get me in first thing in the morning as it was 30 minutes before closing when we talked and I was just outside Asheville. First thing next morning they got me in and fixed to go, everybody very kind and helpful. I only wish we had a dealer with this service in Charleston. Thank you all very much. Excellent Service Department I have a KIA Optima I purchased in 2010 from Rusty Wallace KIA,I had an excellent experience from day one...Recently I was in an accident and although I have a KIA Optima I purchased in 2010 from Rusty Wallace KIA,I had an excellent experience from day one...Recently I was in an accident and although my car was able to be driven,I called Rusty Wallace KIA and spoke to them,they said to come on and we will figure out something and once I got there,they gave me a loaner vehicle and recommended a body shop that my insurance company can have my car towed to....My insurance adjuster showed up the next day and my car was towed to the body shop ..These guys are wonderful .I am a single woman and had no where to turn to,these guys stepped up and made this process so easy...I was able to have a loaner while my car was in the body shop because I did not have rental car on my insurance,.so I will never forget the generosity of these wonderful people.... I will always recommend and do business with this KIA dealership More
Poor Service Experience At this dealership, the experience is not all about you. When checking on my vehicle that they had (at that time) for almost a week, I was told by th At this dealership, the experience is not all about you. When checking on my vehicle that they had (at that time) for almost a week, I was told by the service manager that I knew as much about my car as he did. The first day, I asked for a loaner and was told they were not loaning cars any longer. I had to get a rental. I was told my car would be ready in 2 days and that is how long I rented the car. They were replacing the fuel pump. The experience caused me to extend the rental and cost for a total rental contract of 8 days. I never got a call telling me my car was ready. Before I turned in my rental, I went in to the service center to see what was going on with my car. The service advisor immediately got my paperwork and told me that they had driven my car and checked everything out to make 110% sure it was all fixed. He assured me I was ready to go. My bill was more than I was told it would be, and when I was brought back from the rental store, and got in my car to leave, it was still torn up. The gas tank was empty, it was idling roughly, and the check engine light came on almost immediately. The service advisor that I met that day rode with me to put gas in my car, as a courtesy. I was very unhappy. As he was putting gas in, the fuel neck broke. They replaced that at no charge, as they said they could not be 100% sure they did not injure that while replacing the fuel pump. They replaced a bad O2 sensor as well. When I picked my car up at 5 pm on Thursday, the check engine light was not on and it was running better. By 8 am the next morning, the check engine light came on while I was driving and the engine sounded louder and like it did not have as much power. I went straight to the dealership. After a total of 2 1/2 weeks and a final diagnosis from California that I had a bad catalytic converter, I left with a torn up car. The technician got grease and dirt on my cloth seat, my floor mat and the door landing. They did not clean that up until I asked, and there was not even a courtesy car wash. It takes 2 days, at least, to get parts, and they do not follow up like they say they will. When I expressed my concerns to the dealership manager and co-owner, his concern was not what could have made my service experience better, it was to pay my rental expense and get me out the door. While I appreciated that money back, there were still lots of inconveniences and inconsiderations. They lost my bisiness the first time I picked my car up. The only reason I went back was because they were the ones that had just worked on the vehicle, and I thought surely they could get to the root of the problem. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you have a Kia, do not use this dealership. I do not plan on purchasing a new Kia now, but if I ever do...it will NOT be from this dealership. More
This is the first car dealership where I know I am going to be treated fairly. They have always given me the best service on my Kia Soul and go out of there way to do what they can to save me as much on th to be treated fairly. He has car knowledge and a pleasant manner which makes the customer service perfect. It's so important not in just picking the car you want, getting the best deal on it but what kind of service you are going to get for the life that you have that car and at Rusty Wallace Kia on Alcoa Hwy, Knoxville, TN, they know how to treat their customers from the start to the end of your experience of owning your Kia. This means a lot to this single woman!!!!! More

I am writing to update a complaint I originally placed regarding Rusty Wallace Kia in May. My car was heavily damaged at the dealership in the April 27 hailstorm that hit the area while my car was being s regarding Rusty Wallace Kia in May. My car was heavily damaged at the dealership in the April 27 hailstorm that hit the area while my car was being serviced. Insurance covered all damages with the exception of my deductible. Approximately one month after I placed the original complaint on this site, Travis Wolford called from Kia to inform me that the dealership had decided to cover the deductible on my Rio. I have always been highly satisfied with the service department at Rusty Wallace Kia, and with the satisfactory resolution of this problem, I am happy to refer anyone to this dealership who is either looking for a good vehicle or quality service work. Thank you to Travis Wolford and the dealership for their prompt attention to this issue, and willingness to guide me to a successful resolution! More
