I had initially contacted the service department regarding some oil issues with my Kia. They had advised me to bring it in for an "oil change" so that they could perform an oil consumption test to address the low oil issue. After the oil change was done, the service member informed me that there was no need for the oil consumption test as they had found two oil leaks in my car. He also mentioned that my warranty would cover the repair work required, and I would need to leave it overnight for the repairs to be carried out the next day. The disappointing part was that I was charged $80 for the oil change, which I had only agreed to because I was told it was necessary for the oil consumption test. Since the test was not being conducted, someone should have informed me of the situation and advised me against getting the oil change, to avoid unnecessary expenses. The whole point of the oil change was to carry out a test that never happened. Yes, they got an extra $80 out of me, but it says a lot about the company. More
This may not be a problem, but when I wash my car I can see soapy water getting underneath my back taillight bar on my K5, and I had pictures to prove it. All the shop did was do a light water rinse, and s see soapy water getting underneath my back taillight bar on my K5, and I had pictures to prove it. All the shop did was do a light water rinse, and say they could not duplicate. I was assured any leakage would not get into the back lights, which could cause electrical glitches if it happened. This happens often, as the Kia forums have posting about this. I would have like to have seem them spent a bit more time learning about this. More
