This saleman lied to me about the sale price. He phoned me and said that he could give me the Honda with $26K ("EVEN", he repeated the word "EVEN" twice). So I came to the dealer right after the phone cal me and said that he could give me the Honda with $26K ("EVEN", he repeated the word "EVEN" twice). So I came to the dealer right after the phone call eventhough my house is far away from this dealer. After I got there, he gave me a totally different price and said that he could not do $26K. He lied to me so that he could get me to come to the dealer with the hope that I would change my mind and pay for the new price. I would recommend that you never come to this saleman/dealer. More
Purchased my 2005 Odyssey Touring from these people. They completely messed up the deal. They shook to a 5-mile 2005 Odyssey Touring with Mid Sized Roof Box and XM Installation for $35K drive out. Aft completely messed up the deal. They shook to a 5-mile 2005 Odyssey Touring with Mid Sized Roof Box and XM Installation for $35K drive out. After this - they brought out the following skeletons from their closet: (1) The vehicle had almost 100 miles on it (2) They did not have a roof-box and needed me to return from Austin (3 hours away) for it (3) They needed further time to install XM (4) They didn't have the second master key and promised they would have it for me After two trips to Houston and spending money on a hotel there in order to close this deal - I ended up with a vehicle that was NOT what they promised. The following things are still incomplete from the sale: (1) XM Installation not provided (2) Ami mentioned that she would have the license plates installed from the glove compartment but forgot to do so (3) The second master key needs to be given to me as mentioned at point of purchase Here is an outline of the scenario: At the time of purchase (August 5th) I was told that I need to pick the car up the next day due to the installation of the roof-box, XM and splash guards. I obliged and paid for a hotel room and spent the night only to find out the next day that the roof-box was unavailable in the inventory. Frustrated that I had to come back for the installation of the roof-box and XM, I left for Austin with a vehicle that was not yet equipped with what was promised. On Aug 15th, Ami Tran called and she set up an appointment for me for Saturday at the dealership to install all the accessories. I confirmed with her that all accessories were going to be installed - which included the roof box and XM Radio. I brought the car in from Austin on Saturday, Aug 20th, after facing a very high amount of rush hour traffic in both cities, and dropped it over to the service department. Additionally, I requested Ami to have the license plates installed and she said that there would be no problem in doing that. She said that I should come back at 4pm and they will have it ready then. I returned at 4pm but had to wait an additional 2 hours for the installation only to find out that the all the necessary XM parts were not available and that I would have to return to Houston to get those installed. Furthermore, the time those parts were supposed to arrive was indefinite. I have already racked up 550 miles in this new vehicle only because of the errors with relation to knowledge of inventory in the dealership as well as knowledge of the car accessories by either the salesman, accessory manager or mechanic of Russell Smith. More importantly, I have spent over 36 hours of my already very limited time to make this work. --------------- The above e-mail was sent to Nang Ha, my dealer there. He called me and was apologetic, but addressed the following things: (1) In spite of being paid the full amount (35.1K) the dealership refuses to install the XM due to oversight on how much it would actually cost them. (2) He is not motivated to help me anymore because I gave the him an average (in his eyes "unfavorable") rating. (3) To make amends with his mistake on the XM, he will send me a $100 check which is what he claims he made on the deal. Sick of it all, I agreed to the $100 agreement -- and what d'ya know -- I never received the check! Although I was planning to recommend this dealer when they matched my price, I have reached the other end of the spectrum now. NEVER USE RUSSELL & SMITH HONDA, even if they GIVE YOU THE CAR!! -- Just wanted to edit this post: The dealer, trying to compensate, just sent me a personal check of $100 which he said was what he was making on the whole deal after the screw up. --- More
