Recall/Updates Got a letter that I had a recall on my Optima. Was able to easily get an appointment a few days later. Brake and Oil Issue I brought my car in for a grinding noise in the front of the car. I dropped the car off Saturday March 10 for a service appointment at 730am on Monday I brought my car in for a grinding noise in the front of the car. I dropped the car off Saturday March 10 for a service appointment at 730am on Monday the 12th. I initially called for an update around 11-12pm and was told there wasn't one at the time and they would return my phone call. Around 1-2 I was told my car was ready for pick up they found what was causing the grinding noise and resolved a recall issue as well. Days later I hear another new noise like a fan with something stuck inside. As the days go on it gets louder. A coworker looked at it for me on April 10th, and I had no oil in my car. Immediately oil was purchased from a local store 3 quarts were put in. This issue is being investigated but I believe that my car was drained of oil. I was due for an oil change but it does not explain the disappearance of oil. As this dealership was the only place I take my car for services and I didn't hear the noise prior to March 12. Also my receipt shows a Line Issue that I never reported over the phone. Previous to this, in Fall 2016 I brought my car in twice for a squealing noise. An engineering test was done to send into Kia. I was told there was nothing wrong and everything looked fine on the car and that it could just be from the weather. Months later (Spring 2017) the squealing noise gets louder and it starts grinding, a friend tells me I needed breaks a long time ago and I had no brake pad left only metal. The squealing noise that I had brought my car into Kia could've been easily resolved. He installed the breaks on to my car immediately. I have had previous experiences both good and bad with Kia outside of these. I would recommend asking for a maintenance check with the technician if you are here for service. Ask the technician to show you, the oil, what else they found or saw, etc. It's unfortunate that I have had this experience. I know that people make mistakes and mean well. However, these incidents could've been really bad for me and my family (car accident, engine blown, etc. More
