I have shopped at a few dealerships in the recent years and I can say Russ Darrow of Appleton has been by far the best customer service I have experienced. The non pressure and honest informative salesma and I can say Russ Darrow of Appleton has been by far the best customer service I have experienced. The non pressure and honest informative salesman we encountered was a pleasure to have met. The personable treatment while working with the staff was such a different atmosphere than I have experienced from other dealerships. I look forward to recommending and working with them in the future. More

Stereotypical dealership with stereotypical salespeople, specifically Shawn Lick and Guy the business manager. $500 was taken to hold a vehicle and they still sold it. specifically Shawn Lick and Guy the business manager. $500 was taken to hold a vehicle and they still sold it. More

My wife and I bought our Kia Sedona through Russ Darrow Direct. Not only was purchasing the vehicle a pleasant experience; but the continued service has been great too. We purchase the maintenance plan f Direct. Not only was purchasing the vehicle a pleasant experience; but the continued service has been great too. We purchase the maintenance plan for free oil changes, and even though I didn't have a coupon with me; they had it in their system. The staff was helpful, friendly, and with covid going on; they all had masks and placed a plastic barrier on the car seat and a paper floor mat onto the floor. Very thorough and safe. Thank you for your service! Your team is appreciated! More
Will go there ever again I've been buying new and used vehicles for over 40 years. And I must say that my experience with Russ Darrow is working out to be by far the worst exp I've been buying new and used vehicles for over 40 years. And I must say that my experience with Russ Darrow is working out to be by far the worst experience I've ever had with any new or used car dealer. My wife and I purchased a used car from Darrow direct this past March. Given the timing and season, I was concerned about the air conditioning as it could not be reliably tested. I was assured by the dealership that any issue around the air conditioning would be rectified once the weather warms up and we could verify it's operation. Needless to say once the weather warmed up, the air conditioning was found to be totally dead. We called and were given an appointment but once bringing in the vehicle we were informed we were going to be billed for the repairs. We declined the opportunity to spend yet more money on something that was represented earlier to be a problem that would be taken care of. So despite the earlier promises and assurances by the dealer and/or dealership the story had now changed. So how low can they go? Is this really the image that dealerships strive to project? And what about the salespeople involved? Are they routinely instructed to lie to their customers and then fall back on their promises? And to take note the representative in this case, Mark Huth, actually lied to us several times during the process. And yes, the vehicle was sold "AS-IS" but upon questioning this we were again assured that the AS-IS term would not be an issue if the air conditioning needed to be repaired. I have since decided to engage in some rather telling social media posts. Following this rather poor experience I sent a message to Russ Darrow's customer service. I asked for Mr. Darrow's business philosophy around this and offered another opportunity for them to fix the problem. After several weeks of waiting received no response from anyone. I'm also anticipating this review to be censored and most likely not posted to this site but will be pleased if I turn out to be wrong. At least that way others will have the opportunity to further evaluate their decision to purchase a vehicle from Russ Darrow Direct and hopefully avoid any bad experiences. More
Terrible sales staff, poor service technicians I had looked at these guys on line and had a bunch of cars marked that I liked. NONE of them were on the lot in Appleton. I drove several others and I had looked at these guys on line and had a bunch of cars marked that I liked. NONE of them were on the lot in Appleton. I drove several others and found one that I sort of liked. The salesman was extremely pushy and I eventually bought a used Kia. I was sold a warranty that I didn't realize I was paying for. When I later asked the sales manager about it, his response was, "We don't include anything for free. You'll have to contact the warranty company for a refund". The service techs didn't know their heads from a hole in the ground. On the second "free" oil change, I was told that my oil pan had a hole and i would have to do to a Kia dealer to have it fixed. I made an appointment to have the oil pan fixed and was told by THEIR tech that Russ Darrow had been reusing the disposable lock washer and that the oil filter wasn't even screwed on thigh, so my car was leaking oil. Never again will I return to Russ Darrow Direct, and at this point would have trouble going to any other Russ Darrow dealership. More
