Terrible customer service I was talked down to as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Your right I don't. I'm a microbiologist so I know about microbes not cars. Wasn't done until 3. Nobody smiled. After paying $769 for new brakes and other minimal services a few days later my brakes are making a worse noise then they were before I brought it in. I called at 10 am on a Saturday and never heard back. The worst customise service I have ever dealt with. More

My Experience I originally took my truck to another repair shop. It sat, untouched, for almost 2 weeks. Finally had it re-towed to Russ Darrow. Best move I made. They diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and fixed the truck and I had it back within 24 hours. Awesome service! Will definitely use them again. More

Oil Change I sat for 1 hour and 45 minutes to get an oil change on a Thursday. When I finally go the car back, it was obvious that it had just been hosed off bec I sat for 1 hour and 45 minutes to get an oil change on a Thursday. When I finally go the car back, it was obvious that it had just been hosed off because it was covered with water. When I turned the car on both steam and smoke were rolling off the engine. I popped the hood and they had obviously sprayed the engine off and you could tell there was oil that was spilled because it was burning and after I got a 1st , 2nd and 3rd employee to come and look at it, they all agreed that was what it was. So, they asked us to sit again and took it for a ride and the smoking stopped and the car had been wiped down. That was Thursday, I took the car to the Twin Cities that weekend, this past weekend and on my return trip, the check engine light came on. So, now I am getting that checked out. This is also about a month after I had to have a couple pistons redone and a rod replaced as warranty work on the same car. The reason I was at Russ Darrow is because I bought the car there and they gave me some free oil changes. It is not convenient, it is a 30+ minute drive but I figured it is free. I doubt I will be going there for any more "free" service. I pass several other places on the way that are much more convenient and I have a feeling the service will be every bit as good, probably even better. More

Car wouldn't start for test drive I called & made an appointment to test drive a particular vehicle. When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted promptly. I was told the car was in a different lot and the salesperson left to get it. He brought it back & parked it, and I got in to take a drive. Unfortunately, the car would not start. After several unsuccessful attempts, I informed him I wouldn't be buying this vehicle. He said he didn't blame me and asked if there was anything else I might like to drive.After checking the inventory, he left to retrieve vehicle number two. When he returned without thevehicle, I was told he was not allowed to let me drive it because it wasn't a road worthy vehicle. Simply put, there were too many serious defects. While the staff was friendly, the quality of the inventory is sorely lacking. If you're looking for safe,reliable transportation, this doesn't seem to be the bedt place to shop. Steer clear. More
