I had a very disappointing service experience with Rusnak Volvo. They did an incompetent diagnosis of my problem (or no diagnosis at all), for which they charged me $440. They did a software upgrade which di Volvo. They did an incompetent diagnosis of my problem (or no diagnosis at all), for which they charged me $440. They did a software upgrade which did not fix the problem. When I pointed that out, the technician tried to convince me that it was fixed, even though I could see that the problem, though slightly changed, was still there. Sloppy work. Details: A problem developed in the infotainment system which affected the radio, the heater/air conditioner, and the door locks. Things suddenly started acting weird. On the advice of an independent repair shop who thought a software upgrade MIGHT be needed, I went to Rusnak. They charged me for diagnosis and the software upgrade. After I saw that the problems were still there, I returned to the independent shop and asked them to look into it. They quickly saw that a control module had been damaged by a spill. Rusnak's "diagnosis" did not see this. The independent shop replaced the the module, updated the software, and the problem was fixed. Also, the independent shop did the module replacement, including labor, for less than half the price that Rusnak had quoted me for the replacement parts alone. I will never go near Rusnak Volvo again. After a discussion with the service manager, Rusnak did refund me half of the diagnosis charge. With the poor quality of their work and the attempted snow job by the technician, I deserved a full refund. More

Although there was some delay before seeing the service manager, when I said that I would wait and was told that it would take about 1 1/2 hours, he was as good as his word.
