Just after 8am, went to the Parts counter and rang the bell of service. I could hear people in the Parts area having a fun conversation along the lines of catching up that morning. The conversation kept going, and, after at least 5 minutes, I rang the bell again. The conversation continued uninterrupted. Neither of the cashiers were offering to help, so I managed to get the attention of one of them and asked whether the Parts dept. were available. She said that Parts were available, and she said that she'd check. She took a step through the doorway into Parts, then turned back to me and said Parts had only 2 people, that they were busy, and that I needed to wait. The conversation within the Parts area was still going.... After a few more minutes, I left. More
My issue is with the service department, not with the sales department. I brought in the vehicle to receive the second set of keys (only 1 was provided when I bought the vehicle). When I scheduled the ap sales department. I brought in the vehicle to receive the second set of keys (only 1 was provided when I bought the vehicle). When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that it would take about 6 minutes to generate the new key fob. When I arrived, I was told that due to worker assignments it would take about 1 hour to get the task assigned, completed and documented. I received no updates while I was waiting. After 1 1/2 hours I went back to the desk to find out what was taking so long. The rep told me that he had no updates, but after my insistence, he searched his inbox and found the key fob in his inbox. He then told me that it would take another 10 to 15 minutes to complete the paperwork, at which point I received the fob only. It was at this point that I was told that I should have received the mechanical key when I purchased the vehicle, and that a new mechanical key would cost an additional $100. I searched the vehicle and my records at home and did not find the mechanical key, so I am purchasing an after-market key. My issues with this service experience are: 1 - It is an inconvenience for me to make a trip to the dealership to pick up the second set of keys. 2- It took way too long to get the key fob prepared. 3 - I should have been told clearly when I bought the vehicle that I was receiving the mechanical key and that I would have to bring it in to have it matched with the second key fob. More
