I bought a 2020 Subaru Outback from Luther in November 2020. Just a few miles after purchase, the check engine light came on. I scheduled a service appointment, and they diagnosed the issue as error code 2020. Just a few miles after purchase, the check engine light came on. I scheduled a service appointment, and they diagnosed the issue as error code P0455. Their first fix was replacing the gas cap. As soon as I picked up the car, the check engine light came on again. After a second visit, they tried changing some valves. Still no fix. On the third attempt, they escalated the diagnostics to Subaru. The final diagnosis? Supposedly, rodent damage to the fuel tank — something that would cost me $2,500 to repair and wasn’t covered, even though this issue began immediately after purchase. It’s incredibly frustrating to have repeated issues right after buying a car and then be told the full cost is on me because I’m “out of coverage.” I’m extremely dissatisfied with the service and lack of responsibility taken by Luther. I expected far better from a dealership that sells certified used cars. I won’t be returning, and I don’t recommend buying from Luther based on my experience. More
