I have been going to this dealer for years for my 2017 Subaru Forester. They are all very knowledgeable, polite, and honest with work that is more critical versus things that can wait for a bit. I have tried other mechanics in the area with my subie and have been disappointed. This place exceeds expectations by always being transparent. Plus they send a Lyft to be able to allow me to wait from home or if the time is longer than expected providing me a car to allow me to get other things accomplished during my cars time at the shop. 100% recommend them if you have a Subaru and want honest transparent service! I recently moved to Hillsboro and am currently driving my 5th Subaru and have been a loyal Subaru customer for over 40 years. In all that time I have been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy at dea 5th Subaru and have been a loyal Subaru customer for over 40 years. In all that time I have been treated with the utmost respect and courtesy at dealerships where I was living. However, a new experience happened at Royal Moore. The service Manager, Bill Rush, was incredibly condescending and sexist. The air-conditioning on my 2017 Subaru Forester went out when the outside temp was 105 degrees. I went to Royal Moore and the service person was very helpful and got me an appointment the next morning. At my appointment time Justin Asman was there to help me with any questions or concerns and arrange a loaner car while mine was being repaired. Jason walked me thru the entire process and communicated via text and phone while my car was being serviced. The compressor on the a/c unit was bad and had to be replaced. When I picked the car up and drove for a bit the a/c again did not work properly. I returned to dealership and this time I was greeted by Bill who said it was a relay switch and they would replace it. They did and off I went, however it did not seem to be working properly so I went back and that is when Bill said that it was fine, and then proceeded to tell me " if you were my mother I would tell you the same thing'"- ouch. His attitude was dismissive and condescending, insinuating that I did not understand air conditioning and compressors. It was not a pleasant experience and I am not sure that Royal Moore will get my Subaru business again. There is another dealer not too far away. Perhaps some customer service training for Bill would be in line. On the other hand, Justin Asman was great to work with. More
