Seat sensor for passenger air bag needs to arm at weights over 80 lbs. My wife is 102 lbs and the air bag will not arm, even without the added seat cushion. She gets in, I start the vehicle and reach over and push down on her legs and the added force arms the air bag. The present 100 lb weight sensor is unsatisfactory and should be a safety factor to be considered by GM for replacement with another more sensitive one. Probably 40% of adult females are in the 100-120 weight range and it is unsafe to ride around with the air bag unarmed. More
Chad always gives me first rate service. I always try to schedule my appointment on my days off but because my schedule often changes or something unexpected happens, I just drop in. We went in to replace a left door handle that had broken loose in its mount. It was replaced under warranty and then the 2007 Buick received the regular conventional summer service. I'm not a basher when it comes to things like this but the cadillac service at Royal Cadillac (use to be Don Mackey Cadillac) is the worst I have ever had. My car has been going to them since '07 and toda the cadillac service at Royal Cadillac (use to be Don Mackey Cadillac) is the worst I have ever had. My car has been going to them since '07 and today I had my wife take my car to Coulter Cadillac in Chandler, AZ to have the transmission flush done. Well she emails me since I'm overseas right now and tells me that Coulter has found 4 grand worth of stuff that needs to be fixed!!! I'm like how is that possible. I just had the oil change and brake fluild changed in Feb. She emails me the items that need to be fixed and I called Royal Cadillac up to ask them if they looked at these parts and sections of the vehicle. They tell me yes and said it's part of the service inspection when you bring your car in. I said well explain to me how my rack and pinion has a leak, the front rotors are bad, my brake fluid was never changed ( Joe the service manager said it was pure black!) valve cover ( rear gasket leaking oil), ( missfire cylinder #1 code) and my top motor mount ( cracked). They said sir those items were good back in Feb and that it could have become bad in a few months. I said that's possible but the brake fluid is what I paid for and this something that I'm being told was never done by another Cadillac Dealership. He said well my service team did what they said and I can gladly bring it back and they will take a look at it. I told them no and had my wife take the car to Kichina Cadillac in Phoenix, AZ just to see what they would find. They found the samething that Coulter found! So word to the wise I'm not saying that Royal is a bad company, but just be aware of them! So no I have to shell out 4 grand because the car is out of warranty (105,000mi) and still kicking. I love her but I'm going to fix her up and then trade or sell her for the new DTS. More
This dealership is amazing. They are prompt, attentive to repair detail, and the bill is less than my former private repair shop. I would recommend this dealership to everyone especially those who may be avoiding the dealership because of problems with the former owners.
