Nine vehicles purchased from Don Thomas Over the years, I have bought nine different vehicles from Don Thomas and it was a pleasure to deal with him on each one of them. He always follows up with me after the sale to make sure I am satisfied with the vehicle and with the dealership's services. When you come into the dealership to meet with Don, you are treated like a guest instead of a visitor. I live four hours away, but when I'm in Birmingham, I always make time to stop by and see him because he's such a pleasure to talk to. When you are looking for a friend in the car business, you need to stop by and see Don Thomas. You can't have a better friend than Don. New car sales superior - used car sales suck I bought a used car from Royal and asked before purchase finalized if I could take it for independent inspection. I was told no. It turned out to be I bought a used car from Royal and asked before purchase finalized if I could take it for independent inspection. I was told no. It turned out to be a piece of crap totally overvalued and 9 months later I got $4000 less than I paid in a trade in to the same dealership. If I had not gotten such exceptional service from my two sales reps on my second new car purchase I would have driven to another city to do business with Volvo. Nobody likes to be taken advantage of and that it exactly what happened. The Royal Automotive that has been such a fine part of our community is not what it used to be. Sad. More
