Shawn is not a pushy car dealer. He is also not a suckup, just upfront and helpful. Shopping for a car and negotiating is not something I enjoy. He made a good offer up front. Eric was fabulous!! I went to several dealers of various makes and car models but the reason I came back to Rowe was because of the way I was treated by Eric. He is respectful and does not talk down to 'old makes and car models but the reason I came back to Rowe was because of the way I was treated by Eric. He is respectful and does not talk down to 'old ladies'. A true treasure to have working for you. Scott on the other hand seemed bent on challenging my perception (and ultimate correct assessment of the car pulling to the left) of what was wrong with the car. I realize I had limited time to get it 'fixed' and he was cooperative in accommodating my tight schedule but he could have been more 'customer friendly'. It should not be necessary to have to push for getting a brand new car operating in a straight line or to find out why the bluetooth system does not work properly. I was told he would call Hyundai and find out what could wrong and I had to call him back to learn what was discussed. Then told it was likely I had too many contacts on my phone which I do not...fewer than 50!!! .........Well, it still does not recognize people's names, city names or other requests and the dealer here says "it's a lousy system' and there is nothing that can be done. So ....I have to leave the country for my job in Europe for 4 months and then what????!!!! I paid for a useless option!!!! More
Overall, my experience with Rowe was a good one. The people at the dealership were nice and helpful. Additionally, I really dislike when a salesperson suggests something along the lines of "anything less than all tens on the survey...we get a 0." Great service gets great reviews. Once again, overall experience was good-but not great! More
Our salesman, Ken Sweet, showed profesional and courteous attention to us with no pressure sales pitches. His only interest was selling us a vehicle that we would be happy with and was right for us. My girlfriend bought a new car..dealing with jaime was ridiculous and the care she bought needed stratches fixed so rowe had it more than she did!!!! I reached out to Ken Sweet after a very negative experience with Wiscasset Ford. In mid-January 2011 I ordered a 2011 Explorer from Wiscasset. I expected to get it in March. In March, after they experience with Wiscasset Ford. In mid-January 2011 I ordered a 2011 Explorer from Wiscasset. I expected to get it in March. In March, after they promised me it would arrive within a couple of days, I sold my car privately. Then Wiscasset told me it had been shipped but then was recalled on route from the factory and would be 2 more weeks. The two weeks turned into four. During that time I learned that it had never left the factory. When it finally arrived in mid April, it was not the color I ordered. All this time I was without my own car. The salesman blamed his mistake on me. They then promised to order a new one on an expedited basis, but would not provide me with a loaner in the meantime, so I was to go 10 weeks more without a car to get to work! I contacted Ken Sweet at Rowe Westbrook who got me the vehicle I wanted within a few days. He could not have been more helpful or responsive. What a difference. Thanks Ken! More
vehicle delivered with no owners manual. Was told, locked in safe and secretary was not in today. Next day was told that other dealer had been unable to find manual. Waited @ two weeks for manual to arrive. after manual arrived, had to bring vehicle to service dept. to have door access code retrieved.Tech did an outstanding job of explaining access code/functions.Prior to delivery had asked for remote starter. Remote was installed by third party at a later date at my place of work. salesman unable to program phone to car.Stated that I should take phone to company and let them program the phone to car. I ended up doing it myself when got home. More
I researched all the models in the Elantra size class on line and where to get the best deal. After months I was close to buying a Focus @ Casco Bay Ford and when after showing my wife the car and driving b line and where to get the best deal. After months I was close to buying a Focus @ Casco Bay Ford and when after showing my wife the car and driving back to dealer...they didnt give me the price they quoted me and I left. I tried Bill Dodge in Brunswick and it was the worst dealer and salesperson ever. They pressured to close deal that day or not at all. I then tried Rowe after getting quotes from 2 out of state dealers and Jim Mathews gave me similar deal and lots closer to home. He actually gave me the quote before I went to the dealer which was exactly what I was looking for. I told him I was waiting for some money to come in and he held the car after it arrived from Korea. It was the color and equipment we were looking for. I was treated fairly and without high pressure sales tactics I dealt with at other dealers. I had a bad experience at Frank Galos Chev in saco also before this dealer...and this dealer was the most arrogant and old school. I was happy to deal with Rowe and Jim. He did what he said he was going to do. This is the way to run a dealership....this dealer seems to be breaking away from the the old school pain in the neck salesperson and tactics. You are much better off dealing with the customer in this way as Rowe did. All I can say is keep it up Rowe you will will do better making the process more friendly and honest to the customer. So I ended up at Rowe after contactacing several dealers and using Consumer Reports Zagg dealership express pricing which gives you prices from three dealers and their guaranteed low price. One of mine was Bill Dodge Brunswick and 2 from out of state. Rowe wasnt one of their dealers however they met the price quotes from consumer reports Zagg program and was easy to deal with. Yes I would recommend Rowe as a dealer to deal with and Jim as a sales person. More
I walked in not expecting to buy, but a few days later walked out happily with a new (to me) truck. Great easy friedly low key experience. Ken was always available and ready to help.
