I have been using the Rowe Ford Service Department since 1998, dealing primarily with Scott Joys but occasionally with Rob and Sharon. I very much appreciate the professionalism of all of them. I like having repairs explained to me in terminology that I understand, and on occasion the explanation has included drawings. My concerns have always been dealt with promptly and courteously. I like being made aware of upcoming routine maintenance needs as well as potential problems allowing me time to budget for them. I like leaving the service department feeling secure that my vehicle is well maintained and safe. When my vehicle was involved in an accident Rowe worked with the insurance company to ensure repairs were done to specifications that returned the vehicle to like new condition. More
Jason calls and emails me to remind me when my service is due, which is very helpful. He is very knowlegable and always schedules me a convenient appointment. Scott was extremely helpful in finding me a vehicle that fit exactly what I was looking for, he was very knowledgable about the vehicle and straight forward with the sale. I dealt with a receptionist, who was terrible, Linda I think was her name, she could care less about customer service, who reads a book on the job, I wouldn't be able too, the other receptionist was texti think was her name, she could care less about customer service, who reads a book on the job, I wouldn't be able too, the other receptionist was texting, are they really getting paid for this? Jeff in quicklane was horrible and ignorant, between these three at Rowe Ford I would not recommend a good place to go unless they got rid of these three and hired three friendly individuals that remembered what customer service really is. Rob was amazing in quicklane and I would only tell people to deal with him, thank you Rob for reminding me there are still good customer service people out there. I have only owned Fords and when I went into a dealership the people were always friendly! One out of four is a bad ratio!!! I think other people would love to fill their spot and do a much better job, maybe they should meet Rob who was the only one out of them that actually smiled!! More
I came in on Saturday I got what I needed and the guys were awesome! When I bought my 2003 Ford Taurus, Rowe's big sales pitch was that a "Lifetime Warranty" was included with the purchase. We thought this was great and traveled 1 1/2 hours to Westbrook to buy our car. The was that a "Lifetime Warranty" was included with the purchase. We thought this was great and traveled 1 1/2 hours to Westbrook to buy our car. The sales rep explained that we would need to have regular maintenance performed on the car to keep the warrenty valid. No problem! I explained that since we were not in the area, we wanted to use a local garage which he said was fine. Two years later, when the transmission went I called to find out how the claims process would work. "Just schedule the appointment and bring it in" he says. I was astounded! He didn't ask any information about the car - not even my name or number. No questions asked. I even called back a second time asking if I would need to provide any paperwork. "Nope, just bring it in." For three days I didn't hear from them. When I called, the guy said he hadn't touched it because he wanted to go over the costs. I mentioned that I had the lifetime warranty and he looked into it and got back to me. I wound up talking with a sales manager who said that in order for the warranty to be valid, I needed to call for authorization every single time I brought it in for maintenence since I didn't have it done at the dealership. The sales rep we dealt with at the time of purchase made no mention of this. The manager's response "You should have read the fine print." Unbelievable - nothing but a scam. I asked if they could have the car towed back to me since the man who I made the appointment with should have gotten more information before he made the appointment but, nope, they wouldn't even tow the car back to me. It's a big THUMBS DOWN from me. More
Ken Sweet, as mentioned in another review, is the guy to work with. As a single female and recent graduate, going through the car-buying process could get frustrating at times. He worked with me to get the deal I was looking for and made sure that the incentives offered could be stacked for me ($2000 cash back + $400 recent graduate). He didn't try to sell me extras I didn't need. I walked away with a new car at a price I felt was fair, and I'll be recommending this dealer over Prime to anyone who is in the market for a new car. Ken Sweet is the person to ask for if you are looking to buy in this market. This guy was the busiest in the showroom for the past two day which I was there. He is the internet manager who is not supposed to field calls but cause the salestaff seemed to be all to busy even after the second page(probably congregating around the coffee machine or at the window to the sales lot waiting for the next up) he was able to handle the sale of my new Ford Flex. Ken did what he said he was going to do as I put him and Rowe to the challenge thrown at me by the Prime Ford dealer that told me the add was misleading and they couldn't sell me the vehicle for that price. Ken was upfront after he found out one of the dealer rebates had been pulled but said that Wally Camp will not do business any other way than to honor the add. Ken was awesome in the accomodating of my three young children as he understood and played with them like humans not distractions. I am glad Prime dared me to go there cause I did even better than anywhere else I had been. Buying a vehicle is never an easy task but the feeling of leaving satisfied with your deal is what matters the most. There is always going to be someone that should of, could of, would of done better but I challenge you to buy from Rowe first. More
