Scam Artists that take advantage of innocent people!!!!!!!!! Edwin Ortiz is a swindler!! He did the bait and switch with me by trying to sell me a used car with over 8,000 miles on it as it was a new car!! I wen Edwin Ortiz is a swindler!! I went in there with a blank check and he insisted on me financing with the dealership..big mistake!! I always stated that I wanted to Finance a car. I was tricked into a lease!! I have been trying to contact the dealership, sales manger, anyone. They could care less! They only care about money and trying to suck innocent people dry. If you want to make a deal with the Devil, call Edwin Ortiz. The other car salesmen are not friendly at all and actually curse profusely even when conversing and in front of customers. They need to know what real customer service is. Edwin thought because I was a woman, he could take advantage of me! He wouldn't let me leave when I didn't want to take the deal!! He took my car keys when getting the trade in value for my car and when I asked for them back, he wouldn't give them back to me!! They try to pressure you into a deal/push you into a corner. These evil tactics will not be used on me ever again!! What a waste of time and money dealing with these demons!!! I called Nissan corp and they say they can not do anything and that I have to speak to a manager at the dealership. Skylar is not friendly at all; robotic and emotionless as I explained my situation, I guess I was pulling him from his more important duties (i.e. surfing the web). He was just sitting at his computer and chit chatting to co workers when I walked up to him. Of course he is too busy to check the numerous voicemails he had received from myself and Nissan. Route 46 is well known for using tactics like the bait and switch/ hold your keys hostage, lease scam fraud!!!I highly warn against ever going to this establishment!! I am now seeking the council of a lawyer because of this fraud. Buyers beware!! Total scam!! More

The salesman, Sergio Ramirez, was very helpful and informative throughout the whole process. Just went back to lease a second car for the family last week with the 2014 Rogue addition. I recommend this dealership to any potential car buyer. More

Honestly going in on Memorial Day weekend we were gearing up for a pushy / high pressure sales experience. Charlie was low pressure and made sure we were comfortable through the entire process. Disrespected I purchase and lease cars for family and friends. Many of my friends and families prefer not to deal with car sales people. This is a misconception o I purchase and lease cars for family and friends. Many of my friends and families prefer not to deal with car sales people. This is a misconception on their part. If one does their research and treats sales staff with respect (they deserve) a deal is usually made. I am not in sales and do not take any money for this. Because I typically make about 5-7 purchase/leases a year I no longer visit dealerships. My friends were interested in leasing a Rogue and they live in Wayne. Rt. 46 had more inventory on the model compared to some other dealerships I have long-term relationships with. I emailed Rt 46 and informed them that I do all the negotiating on-line. If a deal is made- I’ll send the Buyer after sending a credit card deposit to reserve the vehicle. I informed Rt.46 that they would pick-up the car today if a deal was made. Amy Thoma at Rt. 46 response was “The 2014 Nissan Rogue you are interested in is currently STILL AVAILABLE; however, we are a high-volume dealership, so if you are ABSOLUTELY set on this vehicle, I suggest contacting me ASAP before the vehicle is sold!!” I explained my process to Amy and received the following response: “When can you make it into the dealership?” There was no reply to my offer. Amy is the Internet Sales Consultant. I asked her to forward my request to her manager. That was the last I heard from Rt.46 Nissan. I have used CarsDirect, TrueCar, and Car Forums to price out cars before making an offer. Today, I made an offer for a Rogue SL. It was a beginning point for negotiating. I was not offering $69 dollars a month – but enough to start the process- not to be ignored. Not responding to a customer is rude form. A brief- email with a counter offer- or no thanks for the offer, or the car was sold is less infuriating then being ignored. It’s bad business and reflects an arrogance on their part. We’re BIG- We don’t need your business is the message they sent. I have heard both positive and negative remarks from Rt. 46 customers who have later sought my assistance in obtaining cars. More than once, when they tell me they got a “Great deal at Rt 46” - I look at the numbers and more often I confirm that they got a “Great Deal” but for the dealership and not for themselves. I chose using Rt 46 because they did have more inventory compared to some of the other dealerships. I also recently recommended friends to lease from them. It’s hit and miss with them. Today was a miss. If you want a consistent sales experience for a long-term relationship with a dealership- I recommend you research other dealerships with higher ratings on Dealerratings.com. TRY TO AVOID DEALERS WHO ARE HIGH VOLUME. You will often hear their sales pitch. "We sell 300 a cars a month and can offer you great deals !!" Not entirely true. If you’re a customer reading this – that means you’re concerned with making the right choice for a major purchase (homes being first and college). Do your research and much caution is suggested if you use Rt. 46 NIssan - especially if you are using their Internet Department. More
