I've never written a review for a car dealership before. I've purchased 4 new vehicles in my life, and each time I've experienced typical dealership hassles and never felt like my experience was worth a rev I've purchased 4 new vehicles in my life, and each time I've experienced typical dealership hassles and never felt like my experience was worth a review. My experience today with Route 44 Hyundai was, by far, the best car buying experience I've ever had. There are a number of reasons: 1. I spend many hours getting quotes from dealerships via email. Often times I have to go back and forth, sending numerous emails to the dealership to get the info I want. One wouldn't think that getting an invoice price, quote price, and breakdown of other fees (total off the lot price) for a specific vehicle would be that difficult! It only took two emails to Route 44 Hyundai to get the info I needed: The first email asking for the price (they provided a breakdown of all fees), and a second email to verify that the quote was for a specific vehicle with specific options. 2. Price was unbeatable. I didn't even bother haggling. The price I received on my Genesis Coupe was $800 cheaper than the lowest bid I had previously received. Also note that the quote was over $1000 below invoice! When I told a competing dealer the price I was offered, he scoffed and told me there would be some hidden fees. Which brings me to my next comment... 3. No bull. Showed up at the dealership. Car was waiting and running. Grabbed the keys, test drove it. Came back in, sat down with the salesperson whom I worked with online, and did the paperwork. When the purchase and sales hit the table, there were no pricing surprises. Everything "rung up" exactly as described in the email I had received. No hidden costs. No shenanigans. 4. Friendly staff. We worked with two salespeople. Both were outstanding. We had to wait about an hour to get the whole deal done, but this was only because the dealership was under staffed and cars were flying off the lot. Each of the 3 salespeople had 2 customers each...all of which were buying cars. Members of the staff kept apologizing for the wait. Contrary to their concern, we were VERY happy with the speed of the buying process. Compare this to our experience last summer at a different dealership where they made my wife and I wait five hours (for no apparent reason) to buy her car. Waiting a little this evening was no big deal. I could probably go on and on. You get the idea. In fact, I was thoroughly surprised to come home and read all these lousy reviews for the dealership. I called Rt 44 Hyundai in Raynham in search of a 2006 Hyundai Tiburon SE. I spoke with Jillian Dunn on the telephone and she was very professional, and well spoken. She informed me they did not have exactly what i was looking for, but would have no issues in helping me in my search. i drove down and met with Jillian and she found me two 2006 Tiburon SE with the paint and interior color-scheme i wanted. i purchased the vehicle for a great price, they gave me good money for my trade and there service is unbelievable. Glad I gave these guys a chance. Everything was fine from start to finish. Was sent there by a friend, and will be eager to reccomend these guys to anyone looking for a new car!! Because the dealer is 30 miles away, I doublechec Bait and Switch! I contacted Rob DaRocha via email and was quoted a price for an 09 Azera Limted. Because the dealer is 30 miles away, I doublechecked that the car quoted was in stock, and asked for the color, so that I would have something to identify it. I was told that they only had two in stock, a white GLS and a Silver Limited. After verifying that I was interested in a silver Azera Limited I went to see the car. When I arrived I was greeted by Rob, and introduced to a salesperson who showed me the car. I noticed that it had the navigation system in it, and I mentioned that I did not want the navigation system to the sales person, but he said that this was the only Azera Limited in stock, and that the price Rob gave would be honored. We went for a test drive and I liked the car. I then returned to the showroom and I was told that a mistake had been made, and the car that the best price that Rob would allow for the car that I saw was 3500 MORE than the quote I recieved via email. I was livid! This is called Bait and Switch, and I told the salesperson so. I also shared my belief that this practice is illegal in the state of MA, and that I will persue this. Rob hid in his office while I vented my anger at having the sales person waste over an hour and a half of my time. He then had another manager come out to try and smooth things over for him, but did not come out to address this himself. I left and bought a car at another dealership that same evening. More
We went to Route 44 Hyundai on March 8, 2009....the dealer said that they would match the price we received from another local dealership....we were told that yes they could match that price so we too dealer said that they would match the price we received from another local dealership....we were told that yes they could match that price so we took a test drive in the vehicle (Hyundai Entourage Limited)...we were pleased with the vehicle and when we went back into the showroom to finalize the paperwork and see what colors were available the manager (George) came to the desk we were at with the salesman Tom and said that they could not meet the agreed upon price and that the other dealership lied to us (his words) if they they could get the vehicle at that price. He then said that he lied to us also because the other dealer lied first. I find this response totally unacceptable when dealing with a customer who is trying to negotiate in good faith. The manager is the person we dealt with who initially said he would match the price....I just don't understand his complete about face when it came to finalizing the deal...if he said that he could not match the price just be up front about but don't lie and then brag about the fact he lied to us. I brought my 2007 Hyundai Sonata in for a service related item. The service consultant was very prompt and explained the procedure in great detail. I was offered a rental for the day ( a new vehicle which was clean and ran well) while my vehicle was repaired. My vehicle was ready by mid afternoon as promised. During pickup, the service consultant once again explained the repair which was still under warranty and assured me that if I had any further problems with the vehicle that I should contact the service department. I would recommend this dealership to anyone seeking service with their vehicle, very friendly staff. More
This is related to both a milage check routine maintenance and to fix an engine service light. - You have to prompt them for "proper" service too much. - They seemed more focused on getting maintenance and to fix an engine service light. - You have to prompt them for "proper" service too much. - They seemed more focused on getting a "10" on Hyundai's own service survey's then actually providing the customer service. - Their hours do not provide many oportunities for a 9 to 5 worker to get serviced outside of office hours. - Most of the employees seem grummpy or "don't bother me" in their attitude (could be the work atmosphere). - The service members push for extra services not really needed - The check engine light came back on after service, had to go down a second time and they said after they had it for the day that it was never on. Most likely they had neglected to reset the code but they chose to indicate that I did not know what I was seeing vs. take ownership of the issue. Granted there are other possible reasons, but they had to have reset it again since it had been on for several miles again, to act like it was nothing is plain dishonest. - Alot of issue with Hyundai as a whole don't recommend the car let alone the dealer.
