I made an appointment two weeks before I dropped the car off for some recalls. Then I waited for today's for them to tell me that they didn't have the parts for one of the recalls. Then I asked them to look off for some recalls. Then I waited for today's for them to tell me that they didn't have the parts for one of the recalls. Then I asked them to look at something else. They told me it was all good to go. When I picked up the truck it had the same problem and they needed me to drop it off again so they could look at it but if they looked at it the first time it would have been fixed. The person at front desk ignored my recall notices I brought in to service department, said he knew what had to be done. I had been driving around with 2 separate recall notices, 1 for torque bolt loo brought in to service department, said he knew what had to be done. I had been driving around with 2 separate recall notices, 1 for torque bolt loose on engine, other is supplement restraint system can deploy at any time so I took in for concern of air bag deployment causing an accident. Then I realized after work was done that air bag recall wasn't done. I called expressing concern the desk clerk said I don't need to get yelled at your recall was done they were for 2 different cars current and previous, both Chrylser. All of this confusion could have been averted if the clerk had looked at recalls instead of ignoring them as I had both notices in hand at the deal as notice indicated to do. More
My 2011 Jeep Wrangler needed warranty on the front end; as I was driving I would hear a loud banging noise when making a right turn and when I hit a bump in the road the steering wheel would vibrate and sh as I was driving I would hear a loud banging noise when making a right turn and when I hit a bump in the road the steering wheel would vibrate and shake until i pushed the car faster. When i brought the car to Route 18, I initially spoke with technician Rich Warren who informed me they would look at the car and get back to me. They called back within 4 hours and informed me they road tested the car and could not replicate the noise but they found bolts connected to my front track bars that were "extremely" loose and they tightened the bolts. Great! "Also, you need an oil change, it will $30 buck can we do it?" I agreed since they found the source of the issue! I get to the dealership to pick up the wrangler and my bill is $36.80; not a big deal, i can spring for the extra six bucks but not the problem. The problem is this is not what you quoted me for. I drive the wrangler home and the steering column is extremely tight and pulls to the right. I immediately call the dealership when I return home and explain what the issue is. They tell me "it will wear in give it a month, if it doesn't, bring it back and we will look at it." This doesn't sound right to me but I agree; big mistake. I call back a month later and inform Route 18 that the car is still misaligned and pulling badly to the left. The technician begins to tell me that it is not their problem. After I explain the situation the office manager gives me an appointment for 2 weeks and tells me to have the wrangler at the dealership at 8:30am. I take the morning off and bring the wrangler to the dealership, explain the issue again, and am told i will need to pay for the alignment as the alignment is not covered under warranty. I explain that the car was fine when i brought the car for service on 6/14/13 and when the vehicle left their dealership it was not right. The technician informs me to "hang tight" while he speaks with the manager. Mr. Jeff Kanc comes out to "speak" with me in the waiting area and continues to inform me that "you have no idea what you are talking about, the track bars do not connect to the wheel well and that Route 18 had nothing to do with it." After listening to Mr. Kanc berate me for an additional 5 minutes in front of other customers; he tells me his dealership will not honor their service contract and asks me to leave his dealership. I, first asked for his card, which Mr. Kanc supplies me, confirm one last time that they will not stand by their work (which they won't) and I leave. I would like to state that I have owned Jeeps my entire life, my family is a Jeep family, but I'm considering moving on from the Jeep family after this. More

Let me just start out by saying I am in the customer service/ retail business and cannot tell you how impressed with Rich at this dealerships service department. I recently obtained a 2008 Chrysler T service/ retail business and cannot tell you how impressed with Rich at this dealerships service department. I recently obtained a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country with 19,000 miles on it, in order to get the van here my father had to trailer the van to New Jersey. While loading the vehicle on the trailer he severely damaged the muffler. I made an appointment over the phone and came in to drop it off, when I went I to the service department rich wanted to see the vehicle. We walked out to the car he got down and examined it and told me that he is a honest man and works for a honest business and that he does not want to turn away work but he felt I should go to a local repair shop as the chrysler part would be replacing the entire tail pipe, catalytic converter and muffler. He told me that a local shop would be able to repair just a section of it rather then the entire thing. I appreciated the honestly, he asked me to come back for oil changes and regular maintenance of course. I truly appreciated the advice and honestly on his part. Long story short I had it repaired at another shop, due to his advice I greatly appreciated this. The next day while my wife was driving the van for the first time, we were on the turnpike and we started to hear a lot of road noise coming from the front right tire. We managed to get home but by that time the vehicle was shaking violently and was becoming difficult to control. I had it towed to RT 18 chrysler based on how I was treated by Rich the day before. Rich called me that day told me the price for the work that needed to get done and had the car ready the same day. This gentleman is a truly honest person, he actually sent me to another place to have my muffler fixed, and did right by me. Thats why I came back. After doing the work I sat and talked with Rich, he was telling me his philosophy on how he believes in taking care of his customers by going the extra mile, he told me he tells his guys to wash the customers car before giving it back to them, do the little things, make them come back, recommend the right service for the customer etc, he understands that there are plenty of places to get your car fixed on RT 18, or even to buy a car the East Brunswick area, he's going to go the extra mile to be the best one. If you have to leave your car, you can rest assured it is in good, no I mean great hands. I called with a problem, he told to bring my car over and he would get it looked at. I had to leave it and they had it fixed and ready to pick up the next day. Not only was it ready but my car was washed and left with wrapped mints in my cup holder for me. It's not just that they do the job right but the small details that they do that make this dealer special. You're absolutely crazy if you go anyplace else. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!! M. Lets just say wow! I have a 2010 Ram which the day before my wedding broke down due to a recalled part which was on backorder. In the middle of pouring rain i had the vehicle towed to Jeff at the dealer. So professional, he wrote up the workorder and i told him i would call him on Monday. Jeff addressed the vehicle completely and took care of the truck as if it was his own. It did take a little while to get all the parts needed but he got the job done right and the truck drives like nothing happened. Im not sure who the technician was but what an outstanding job he did. Awesome job to all involved getting the truck fixed. Keep up the good work and thanx again Jeff for taking care of my problem while i had my wedding on my mind. Really didnt have time to worry about the truck but it was in good hands. More

Knowing that my vehicle is a big part of my business, he provided me with a loaner car. He called when he said he would call to keep me updated with my vehicles progress and had my vehicle repaired when he said it would be. Being a first timer servicing my vehicle at Rte18 Chrysler /Jeep/ Dodge, the level of customer service and professionalism was 2nd to none! I will definitely be servicing my Jeep here from now on!
