I was looking into the situation you described and would like to clear some things up. My technician did monitor your car with the scan tool and was able to find an active misfire in cylinder 1. So he continued with the diagnoses by swapping coils and injectors the misfire did not follow - he then checked the compression which was within spec. At that time he installed 1 new factory spark plug and the misfire was gone. The service advisor asked if you would like to replace the rest of them for 349.00 but then did discount that down to 285.00 which you still declined at that time. Our cars do not run right on different spark plugs. They do need the factory spark plugs. As far as the price it was for the diagnoses of the mil and install of all 6 spark plugs. If you are able to do that yourself then I would understand why you wouldn't want to pay us. Please feel free to contact me if we can be of any further assistance.

This is not how we want our customers to feel. I sincerely apologize on behalf of the Route 18 Jeep Service Department. We have recently added staff and adjusted the phone system to help with the phone issue in the future. Unfortunately as far as the recall inspection and you having to wait, that was the way the manufacturer set it up. We were not informed that we wouldn't need parts for some trucks that already had hitches. If we had known that, obviously we would have done all the inspections for the customers with existing hitches. However, we did have to wait for the manufacturer to release repair parts and proper repair procedure. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and if given the opportunity hope we can make it right in the future.
