Belittled and Damaged my car I brought my car in for a free oil change because of their customer appreciation event. Big mistake! After my oil change my passenger side door would I brought my car in for a free oil change because of their customer appreciation event. Big mistake! After my oil change my passenger side door would lock on its own, would not sense the smart key and the cabin light would go off in 15 seconds if it would go on at all. I thought I could bring it in and have them take a look at it and fix whatever they broke during my oil change/multi-point inspection. I arrived on a Friday in July around 3 PM. There were two guys at the service desk. The first one asked me what I was there for and I said there was an issue with my car ever since my oil change. He said OH you dealt with Anthony for that right? He can look up your file on the system. First issue: The guy who was free and not doing anything would not help me bc he previously did not help me with paperwork. When Anthony was finally free, I told him what happened and he told me no one could look at my car because they were all going home soon. At 3 on Friday afternoon?? How nice for them. He did however look at my car. He talked over me and would not let me properly show him what was wrong with it as we performed a series of tests dictated by him. Just let ME show you what's wrong with my car!!! He then declared that there was nothing wrong with my door and that my door is supposed to not be able to sense the smart key when it's on the inside (WRONG!). He told me there was something wrong with my light and to come back ANYTIME next week to get it resolved. I basically felt like because I am an Asian woman, he did not take my issues and concerns seriously at all. He brushed off all issues except the light. It's not like I came in and told him that my horn sounds too manly and can he make it higher pitched. I had valid issues with my car that were not there until after I brought my car in for service with them. Well I went back a week and a half later on a Saturday with my husband. They told us that they would not take me without an appointment which was news to me because Anthony told me to come back ANYTIME! Then they asked us to wait. After a long time, someone (I don't remember his name, but he was very nice) came to look at my car and actually let ME show him what was wrong with it. He agreed that yes there is something wrong with my door and cabin light and noted that that Anthony is not a service tech and could not correctly diagnose my car (I kind of got that when he didn't know how a smart key works). Then they told me that my issue could not possibly have happened during my oil change/multipoint because the multipoint is a visual inspection ONLY and they don't touch the car. When I mentioned that they physically brought out my air filters for me to review, he back tracked. They told me that they could not fix it that day and they don't know why Anthony told me to come back anytime but I could make an appt with them and have them look at it for a diagnostic fee of $120 + parts + labor for an issue that they caused. In my opinion, this is a 30 minute fix, tops, unless they really severely damaged my car. Regardless, they should waive the diagnostic fee because this is an issue I believe they caused. The guy who originally pushed me off to Anthony the first time I was there told me that if the fix was only $5, they would waive the $120 diagnostic fee and only charge me $5. He seemed ill informed and I'm starting to understand why I always see him standing around instead of helping people. I am never going back to Meadowlands Nissan for anything. Both my husband and I have purchased cars from this dealership and have continued using them for service despite their noticeable customer service decline in past years. They can't even treat a woman there like a normal person without a man by her side but if my husband is there, they will talk to him like he's an old friend (he's not). In addition to this issue, we have also dealt with theft from this service center which the dealership dealt with separately in an appropriate manner but the fact that it happened is still unacceptable. Breaking cars and stealing things, proceed at your own risk! Women, walk at a quick pace in your heels and petticoats from this place and make sure your bonnets are secure, this place will transport you back in time. More
Mike Grimaldi is THE Best! He is Wonderful!! We purchased our car with Meadowlands Nissan and even though we live in NY, we still take it for service and routine maintenance at Meadowlands Nissan We purchased our car with Meadowlands Nissan and even though we live in NY, we still take it for service and routine maintenance at Meadowlands Nissan as well. The only person I am comfortable dealing with when it comes to service and maintenance is Mike Grimaldi --- He is amazing!!! Such an honest, genuine, fair and sincere guy. We trust him. He ALWAYS goes above and beyond for us and explains in detail what our car needs, what needs to fixed asap, what can wait, etc. He is absolutely honest! And honesty means everything to us. We stick to who we know and trust and it is Mike. So kudos to Mike for always providing us with amazing service and making sure our car gets serviced the way it needs to! Quite honestly, if it wasn't for Mike's superb customer service, professionalism and honesty, not sure if we would get our car serviced here. More
After a horrible experience at Nissan of Manhattan I found this place descend enough to return for service more than once. Yes, service advisors here are not mechanics but at least in my case they tried found this place descend enough to return for service more than once. Yes, service advisors here are not mechanics but at least in my case they tried. All depends how well you understand and research your vehicle's problem yourself prior to your visit here. They also rent you a vehicle should you leave yours for a day or two. Mechanic work wise - whatever they fixed in my Murano still works. Also, I think many frustrated comments here not because of this dealer in particular but overall decrease in Nissan quality. Unfortunately, in the last 10 years the quality of Nissan vehicles built in North America has slipped noticeably. As a result people complain more and then switch to other brands (Honda, Toyota). Buying a car from this dealership is very convenient. But once you buy and they've got you locked in, that's when the true colors emerge. Probably one of the worst service departments I've encountered. The w once you buy and they've got you locked in, that's when the true colors emerge. Probably one of the worst service departments I've encountered. The warranty they sell you or that comes with their CPO cars is not what it seems. I bought my car about 5 months ago. I bought it wiith about 2000 miles on it as it was a former showroom car and had a problem within the first five months. In my experience, the extra price you pay for a CPO car that comes with all kinds of quality promises from the dealership is not much better than buying used without the CPO. You are way better off buying non-CPO cars. Especially since they refuse to pay in most cases. They cover only manufacturer's defects in the warranty (that is, once youve already bought the car and are stuck with them), which the manufacturer would cover even without an extra warranty. Hence, the many legal cases in relation to liability and litigation in this country. The warranty and assurances are empty and redundant. Buyer beware. More

I made an appointment on Tuesday, 4/9/13 to come in on Saturday, 4/13/13 to get a replacement keyless remote/fob for my 2012 Nissan Rogue. I called on Saturday morning to verify my appointment, and it tu Saturday, 4/13/13 to get a replacement keyless remote/fob for my 2012 Nissan Rogue. I called on Saturday morning to verify my appointment, and it turned out that the woman I spoke with on Tuesday failed to actually put my appointment in the computer. Luckily they had an appointment available at 9:45 AM and I was able to make it in. I checked in upon arrival and was instructed that it would take about an hour to reprogram the keys etc. I waited patiently in the waiting area for 2 hours and 15 minutes before I finally approached someone in the service department about the status of my vehicle. When I approached the service representative who had checked me in upon arrival, he had no recollection of who I was, why I was there, or that he had even spoken with me that morning. As it turns out, my vehicle had actually been ready for some time, but nobody ever came out to the waiting area to tell me that my car was ready. I paid a premium price to have this fob replaced and received extremely subpar service. Prior to this experience, I had mostly positive experience at this dealership, but now I am very unlikely to return. More
The service department here is inept at best, corrupt at worst. After the last time I had a regular service I noticed my car (2010 Altima) was leaking oil so I took it to my local mechanic who discovered t worst. After the last time I had a regular service I noticed my car (2010 Altima) was leaking oil so I took it to my local mechanic who discovered that the oil drain plug wasn't tightened. I have no doubts that if I took the car back to the dealer they would have discovered some costly "repairs" were required. and if thats not the case then they can't do something as simple as an oil change properly, either way it's unacceptable. My mechanic also found loose bolts on a structural brace that were probably never tightened when they replaced the transmission (separate nightmare story). The communication from the service department is poor, you're told one thing over the phone and another when you're there. More

Outside of that, I don't have much to say that's good. I thought the customer service was poor. The call backs regarding my vehicle were not made in a timely manner. One of the customer service representatives actually told me, and these are her words, not mine, that "They aren't good at returning calls." Furthermore, I specifically asked Mr. Penambere for an additional, possibly small repair regarding a broken storage hatch located on the console between the front seats. He said he would speak to the technician about it. The repair was never done, nor was it even mentioned when I picked up my vehicle. I don't ever plan on returning to Meadowlands Nissan for service or purchase. And I would not recommend it to anyone. More
