Been one of those car months that everyone fears and hates. First one warning light on the dashboard started flashing, then later, a second one. Since I've rarely had a good experience with service depa hates. First one warning light on the dashboard started flashing, then later, a second one. Since I've rarely had a good experience with service departments at dealerships, I went to a local mechanic for the first problem. When it came to the second one, I went back to the same mechanic. However, when he explained the problem, and the fact that they would have to remove the dashboard to fix it, he made me a little less certain of his competency - not because of the problem and the fix, but because when I asked if the dashboard would go back easily and well, he chuckled and said, "Hope so". At that point I decided that an authorized dealer was the best place to have my repair done. When I went to the Rossi service department, I was directed to Michael. He calmly explained the problem to me, what the fix would involve and cost, and assured me that given the age of my car, this was not an uncommon problem. The day of my appointment for the repair, the job was finished an hour before they said it might be. Michael got in the car, checked out the repair, and went with me to the cashier. My experience with Rossi, thanks to Michael, has convinced me that the best place to go when you have a real car problem is a real dealership. Now that I have a third problem in three months, I will be heading back to Rossi. More
