We recieved a call from a John l Sullivan salesmen staying “they wanted to make us a fair offer and they wouldn’t waste my time”. Upon my arrival for “full appraisal” I had to fight my way though 10or 12 leeches (salesmen) to talk to salesmen I spoke with. After meeting with sales manager he became frustrated when I didn’t want to trade and wouldn’t release how much we owed on vehicle as I stated “what I owe doesn’t change what the car is worth”. Then they come up with a lousy 8k offer😂. Mind you my brother works for a Chevrolet dealership up north so I know what the car is worth.i went next door and had car max appraise it just for the xxxx of it where they made an honest and fair offer of 12k, without asking what I owe, taking my key, or even asking if I owe money on car. Also as I was leaving one of the salesman flagged me down to ask why I was leaving, he then told me “he used to be a painter and he could tell my car was re painted” I laughed as I have owned since new and it hasn’t been. Stay away from these crooks. We will definitely not be purchasing my wife’s new Tahoe from them in the near future. More

We were referred to Sarah who gave us outstanding customer service, taking her time to explain everything about our two vehicles we test drove and about our buying options, including how we can qualify for extra incentives. Ron was personal yet professional, also providing amazing customer service on the financing side. He walked us thru, explaining every form we signed. He also fully explained every option we had for the various upgrades, extended warranty, etc. This was an awesome buying experience. Ron and Sarah are gems! PS: it’s time for a bbq!!! More
They do not honor their word in even the smallest amount I went in to test drive a 2017 Volt. Before I went in to the dealership, I was looking at their used inventory when a pop up ad told me to schedule a test drive and get a free $25 Visa gift card. I followed the instructions after receiving my confirmation email and appointment time. I test drove the car, haggled on a price for about an hour and a half. When no deal could be reached we ended our negotiations and I was about to leave when I remembered the gift card. I asked the sales manager and he said he would be right back. He returned 20 minutes later telling me that they are still trying to get me the offer I submitted and just wait a few more minutes and he would be back with a contract or the gift card. 15 minutes later he came back and said he was waiting on the General Manager and I should keep waiting. This was in my opinion a stall tactic. I was polite and waited 15 more minutes, at this time I told him I had spent too much time and wanted to leave. He left again and 10 minutes later another salesman tried again to get me to close the deal and when I told him that it was out of my budget, he told me that since I didn't print out the email offer, I wasn't getting my gift card. I told him that was fine, and I am glad I did not do business with his dealership because if they couldn't honor their word on $25, they definitely couldn't honor it on more than $20,000. This may seem petty and small, but a company is only as good as their word. I am active duty Air Force for over 19 years and I believe in values and a persons word. John L Sullivan's Sales Manager has neither. More
John L. Sullivan really does not care. Customer service, Joy Sanders, promised to send me the second key fob I was due and then wanted me to pay for the programming. Worst experience ever Worst car buying experience ever. Looked at a 2016 Mazda that showed prior front end damage and high mileage. Vehicle was very overpriced at $17,999 Worst car buying experience ever. Looked at a 2016 Mazda that showed prior front end damage and high mileage. Vehicle was very overpriced at $17,999, but the salesman, Gordon, insisted I make an offer, which I did at $14,000. He said let's make the deal and we went inside. I let them know I have 30 years in auto finance so I wasn't going to play games. Sell me the car for the price I offered or not. After waiting over 30 minutes for their "charade" in the Sales Manager's office, Jeff came out with his "offer". He increased the asking price by $1,000, added $4,000 in useless add-ons, and the final price was just over $25,000! I immediately left, quite upset and insulted. They phoned me a couple times trying to explain their "misunderstanding". Finally Gordon said they will sell me the car for $14,000 so I went back. I was paying cash for the vehicle so I should have been in-&-out in an hour. After waiting for an hour I went into Hutch's office where he very slowly worked up the paperwork. Then he discovered that the vehicle has a Safety Recall and they cannot even sell me the car. It has now been close to 4 hours! We left with their promise that they would take the vehicle to Mazda to have the recalls fixed the next day and call me to pick up the vehicle. This was two days ago. Still waiting for their call... Squeeze every last penny Your service department charged me $250 to diagnosis a check engine light. Even though I had the code read and knew it was a #6 cylinder misfire. Then Your service department charged me $250 to diagnosis a check engine light. Even though I had the code read and knew it was a #6 cylinder misfire. Then you wanted $3,000 to take a tear down and find the problem, and estimated another $3500 for the repairs. How much is it to re-engine? That option was never offered. I just drove my truck down the street to car max and got rid of it. Which I regret. I also regret buying a car from you guys awhile back. Never again. Kiss my xxx. More
