We eventually purchased the Elantra Limited and we are sure we will be as satisfied as we have been with our other Rosen purchases. More
Purchase a 2013 Santa Fe Sport 2.0. My wife and I test drove both a FWD 2.0 and an AWD 2.4 from Rosen Hyundai on a Saturday. We just began to research the Santa Fe Sport, Toyota RAV 4, Honda CRV and a Ma drove both a FWD 2.0 and an AWD 2.4 from Rosen Hyundai on a Saturday. We just began to research the Santa Fe Sport, Toyota RAV 4, Honda CRV and a Mazda CX-5. During the next week I visited the various dealerships, test drove and asked each dealer to E-mail me a price for the car including, money factor, residuals and a price for a trade in of a 2012 Honda Pilot. My sales consultant at Hyundai, Dave Schultz, was the only person to e-mail me what I asked for. I had to call the 3 other sales people and ask again for the information I was looking for, not just the monthly payment they sent me. Dave’s hearing and price for the car was excellent and after 2 more e-mails, we had a final cost worked out which came within our budget. We came back on Thursday to test drive a 2.0 AWD in the exact color and configuration we wanted to purchase. We still had one more car to test drive and felt no pressure from Dave to close the deal that night. Dave is a professional. He respected my time and better yet respected my wife’s decision to drive the other three choices before making her decision. We purchased the car that Friday. In car sales reality, waiting 6 days between a test drive and a purchase is a long time. Dave was patient, followed up only one time and best yet, listened and understood our time constraints and need to do proper research. I went into the dealership on Dave’s day off and had the pleasure to work with the Sales manager Dominick Logan. I ask if he could clean up the car my wife wanted to test drive later that day and also had him do an appraisal on the Pilot. Upon our return the car was spotless, parked right in front ready for a test drive. They let us test drive the car without a sales person present which really solidified our decision to purchase the Santa Fe Sport. We were able to drive our neighbor roads and discover how compliant the Santa Fe’s ride is compared to the other 3 choices. We closed the deal on Friday at 4:00 taking a whole 10 minutes to sign the docs. Yaseen Ali of the finance department was outstanding. Dave delivered the SUV to my wife, educating her on all the new features, setting up her Bluetooth and answering any questions she had while being patient, professional and just a great guy to do business with. Rosen Hyundai, Dave Shultz, Dominick Logan and Yaseen Ali all provided a very relaxed, no pressure, enjoyable sales experience. More

The price for my new vehicle and the value for my trade-in were just what I wanted and they matched the pre-approved loan that I came in with so I was on my way out the door with the keys to my new car in no time. DO NOT EVEN WALK IN THE DOOR of ROSEN HYUNDAI! I have purchased a few cars over the years, and have NEVER had worse service than this place. I came in near closing time and they had me put down a $100 re purchased a few cars over the years, and have NEVER had worse service than this place. I came in near closing time and they had me put down a $100 refundable deposit to hold the car until the next day. The car I wanted has been selling out (I've been researching cars for 5 months and know they have been on a wait list etc, otherwise I would not have paid a deposit). The salesman was great, not pushy and very friendly. The deal seemed to be going good, until I walked into the finance department. The guy was as sleazy as they come. He was rushing thru paperwork and trying to get me to sign off on papers. I asked "What is the % rate, we have not even discussed interest rates" he said "12.9%" (the SUCKER RATE) I was like, xxxx no.That would have been a payment of$470 a month for 72 months. I am not paying that. He showed me my "trans union credit report" that read that my credit was supposedly in the mid 500's. Little did they know I had all of my credit reports run the week prior, and my trans union credit was really in the mid 600's. As I was standing up and walking out, he scurried and said he would try to get it lower. I told him I was not going to pay more than 6% interest. He came back with 11.9%. I told my dad to get up and that we were leaving. The finance guy told me that if I waited he would try to get it lower. In the end, the lowest he could scurry to get was 9%, but because it was that low, he had to use some "DEALER COUPONS" or something, and I would have to purchase a remote starter, GAP INSURANCE, and some other items after market.... in order to keep my interest rate low. Now, I asked him - "What the xxxx does me buying a remote starter or your GAP insurance have to do with my INTEREST RATE?" He said that if my rate was that low, (9%) his dealer has to pay over $1,000 in fees to get it that low. TOTAL BULL$%^&. Oh, they also were not going to give me the recent college grad rebate because my "credit was so low". We walked out. I ended up calling GERALD HYUNDAI in North Aurora (20 miles out of my way) and having them run my credit. I had chatted with Frank L there a few times over texts and over the phone. I literally told him I wanted the car, NO EXTRAS, no dealer added pinstripes, no GAP insurance, and that I wasn't going to pay more than 6% interest. I told him that I had somewhere to be at 6:30pm and that I wanted to literally come in, drive that car, read and sign papers and leave. It was literally the best car buying experience ever. I was able to do just that. I was at Gerald Hyundai for about 1.5 hours. Basically just chatting while they wrote up the paperwork, and I drove the car. Also, my interest rate on THEIR trans union had my interest in the 600's!!!!! In the end, my payment is only $340 for 72 months! My interest rate is where I wanted and I have the car I wanted without any extra crap on it! I got the college rebate, the loyalty rebate, and PAID $1,000 UNDER INVOICE for the car!!!! Here are my questions for you to think about: How is it that two different dealers ran my credit and they were WAY different? When will I get my deposit refund back from Rosen? How could the original interest rate be 12.9% but then within minutes of me walking out he was able to drop it down to 8.9%? Rosen Hyundai should be ashamed of themselves. Please, DO NOT SHOP AT ROSEN. Do your research and DO NOT SETTLE FOR having to buy a car with extras you don't want or need, (dealer add ons just jack up the price, Rosen had offered to remove them for me) Do not SETTLE for a high interest rate! Don't be afraid to walk out of the finance office, YOU HAVE THE POWER! More
I have always believed that the true measure of any business is not how they treat you when everything goes well, but how they treat you when things do not. I recently purchased a 2009 Certified Pre-owned Santa Fe from Rosen and discovered about a week later that the tires on the vehicle were out of spec in regards to tread depth. When I called Rosen to tell them that the tire pressure monitor light had come on, and another Hyundai dealer had found the tires to be out of spec, I was quickly connected to Dan Ditusa, the used car manager. Dan listened to my problem and politely asked me to bring the vehicle and the old tires in for a look. The front tires had already been replaced (the other dealership had the tread depth at a failing 2/32 on the front) and the rear tires were at the end of their life span. As soon as Dan saw that the tires were, in fact, in bad shape he apologized that that problem had managed to slip through the certification process and agreed to install two new rear tires to match the front, and reimburse me for the cost of the others I had been compelled to buy. Needless to say, I was able to walk out of Rosen's doors feeling just as good as I had when I bought the vehicle, and I honestly had not expected that on the way in that day. I appreciate that Dan stood by the guarantee that Rosen had offered with no questions asked and I would recommend them strongly to anyone who asks me where they should buy their next car. Honest people are hard to find. More
