Took car in for ac warranty work. Car did not cool prperly sfter service. All star did not say there would be a charge for service and did not give us a copy of what we signed. When pickin up the car, All star charged $400 to charge freon for leak that should have been covered under warranty. Would not give us the car unless we gave them the money. Shoddy service and unethical business practices. I will take my business elsewhere in the future including the purchase of a new car. More
My wife and I were visiting Milwaukee and staying in a hotel next to the airport. I inadvertently put the wrong kind of fuel in my gas tank late in the early evening and called our Honda service manager i hotel next to the airport. I inadvertently put the wrong kind of fuel in my gas tank late in the early evening and called our Honda service manager in Michigan who told me to have the car towed to the nearest Honda dealer and have the gas tank siphoned. We were planning to drive home the next day. I found the All-Star Honda dealer only 3 miles from the hotel. I called, described the problem, and was told to have it towed there with the key put in the drop box for the next day. I was able to get that done. Kyle, the service manager, called me early in the morning and kept me informed regularly about what was going on with the repair. There was a major snag regarding having the old fuel stored for safe disposal, but Kyle came up with a solution that saved the day. They also discovered that some of the new fuel automatically went to the fuel pump, and that had to be emptied, too. In the end, they completed the work and tested the car to make sure that everything was fine. They sent a courtesy car to pick me up, and I was able to meet and thank Kyle personally. We were able to leave for Michigan around 4 pm which gave me the fun experience of driving through the Chicago loop at rush hour. We made it home by 10 pm---much better than any alternative. We were completely satisfied with Kyle's efforts and explanations plus the excellent service work. It was somewhat expensive, but it was my own fault, and I know it could have been worse. More
