In the begining, Tim was good to deal with; he was polite and answered my questions. It was during my 250 mile drive to see this vehicle that the sales games started. He told me another salesman was in the process of selling the vehicle and wanted me to give him my credit card number to put down a $250.00 deposit to show my interest. I told him I was driving 250 miles to see the vehicle and that should show I'm interested; after four calls in 20 minutes, I told him that I was not going to get my credit card out of my pocket while I was driving on the interstate at 70 mph in traffic and rain, and that if the vehicle was sold to call me and I would turn around and go home; that ended the calls. Once I got there, I test drove and looked over the vehicle. Tim pointed out the rear defroster tab was broken on the glass, which was pretty noticeable, but told me the GM certified warranty I requsted would cover the repair of this. After playing all the sales games, that took forever, I was interested in getting home before dark. He told me he put 2 sets of wireless headphones and a remote for the rear entertainment DVD in the vehicle. After driving home 250 miles in the rain, at night, I went through the console and found only one set of headphones, and the rear DVD screen had lines in it when playing a movie. I called Tim the next day, and he told me he would send me another set of headphones and that the GM certified warranty would cover the replacement of the DVD screen. Four days after buying the vehicle, I made an appointment to get the repairs made at a "REPUTABLE" dealership," Bob Brown Chevrolet in Ankeny, IA. The service manager there advised me to contact Tim to make sure the GM warranty paperwork was sent in so it would be in the system so he could complete the repairs. I called Tim and he assured me he would take care of it and would send me the other set of wireless headphones (I never received the one he said he had sent!) Three days later, no GM warranty in the system and no headphones in the mail. I drove an hour away for the repairs but because Tim did not follow through with making sure all the paper work was done, I had to cancel my appointment. I called Rosedale Chevrolet, again, and talked to an office person, and she told me she would look into it and call me back, which SHE did; it appeared that the paperwork had been sitting on someone's desk for a week. So I called Tim, again, and told him he didn't need to take care of the paperwork with the GM warranty, that he told me he would take care of three days ago, because I had taken care of it with other Rosedale personnel. But I did explain that I still had not received the second set of headphones he promised to send. He acted surprised and said he would send another set, which I knew from past experience was just another lie! After more than two and a half weeks after buying the vehicle, I called my local DMV about picking up my license plates, and they had no information of me even buying a vehicle. So I made another call to Tim Brandt at Rosedale Chevrolet (again!) and explained the paperwork for my license plates had not been sent in and that I still had not received the wireless headphones he promised. He told me again that he would check into these issues and call me back. By this time, I did not beleive anything that came out of Tim Brandt's mouth, but he did call me back; it appears now the licensing paperwork had been sitting on someone's desk for 19 days. He told me they would send them out that day and would send me my second set of headphones {AGAIN}. Three weeks after my vehice purchase, I was able to get the repairs made to the vehicle. After I got home from the Iowa Chevrolet dealership, I wanted to check out the rear DVD player, and it worked fine but I then learned that the one set of wireless headphones that Tim Brandt put in the vehicle, that he told me were new, did not work. I opened the battery compartment, expecting maybe there were no batteries in them, to find out there was an old corroded set of batteries in them, so I replaced the old ones with a set of new ones, and they do not work whatsoever! Needless to say, it would not do any good to call Tim Brandt at Rosedale Chevrolet to replace this set because he never followed through with the other ones. It has now been a month since buying my vehicle from Tim Brandt at Rosedale Chevrolet in Roseville MN, and I can honestly say it has been the worst experience buying anything in my life. I wish I would have waited for another dealer to have the vehicle with the options I wanted. I always try to say good things about people but I cannot say anything good about my experience with Tim Brandt or Rosedale Chevrolet. Mike Bryan SR. More
I had a great experience at Rosedale Chevrolet - I needed to turn in my Saturn lease and was apprehensive because I had been with Saturn for almost 10 years. Staff worked hard to help me out with this problem with my C5. They had also been a resource for a previous one. Doug Schaumer in sales, Chris Duffy managemnt, Justin in parts. Service help from the 800 custoner support line was NOT helpful and made me angry. The problem with the 800 customer support line needs to be addressed as it is REALLY poor. The staff at Rosedale Chev saved the day and is the only reason I would continue to buy Chevs. Despite examinations and input from GM local technical people neither of these problems have been satisfactorily explained as to why they happened. Not the problems you would expect of a Corvette. Makes me wonder about the quality of the other GM products I own. More
I really appreciated Chad keeping me in the loop. When the vehicle could not be delivered as origianlly expected he gave me a prompt heads-up. It was a great exprience! And the Doug was a fantastice Sales person. he has worked with me for over two years to get me in a vehicle. He did not want me to be in a position that would be a set up to fail. Sales person. he has worked with me for over two years to get me in a vehicle. We had a wonderful experience with our salesman, Joe Girma. We have previously purchase cars from him and always go back to Rosedale Chevrolet. He found us exactly the car we desired and even brought new cars inside as it was raining to help us decide on which color we preferred. We have had really good experiences in the service department also. Everybody employed there is very friendly and helpful. I have only had one bad experience in the time I was coming here and it was my fault for leaving my CD's in the vehicle during my oil change. When I got my vehicle back I didn't immediately notice that coming here and it was my fault for leaving my CD's in the vehicle during my oil change. When I got my vehicle back I didn't immediately notice that they were missing so I couldn't go back and complain but other than that I have always had a great experience and would most certainly come back.
