Mitchell Strasburg is the best customer service adviser I have ever worked with. I was leaving Portland on a Saturday (9/17/11) when my water pump went out on my prius. Mitchell was up front about the fact that he could get my car in but that there would be some waiting around because Saturday was a busy day. He was friendly and funny while focused, efficient, and hard working without being stressed. It never felt like he was just telling me what I wanted to hear to get my business. Mr Tonkin, if Strasburg could train advisers how to do this I think you should consider making him your service manager. My father retired from Ford and at the time he was in charge of Dealer relations and I asked if he knew anyone high up in Toyota to call the dealership and sing Stasburg's praises and he said he does not anymore so this is the best I can do. My mother's side of the family owned dealerships so I have been around the industry and cannot say enough about the quality of employee Stasburg is.The shuttle guy was also amazingly friendly and helpful. I'm sorry to hear that the dealership is being remodeled because I loved the feel of the retro dealership. More

My truck died on Macadam blvd. I had it towed to Ron Tonkin Toyota and they said it would be repaired by the next day.(fuel pump) They provided me with a courtesy ride back to work where I had an extra Tonkin Toyota and they said it would be repaired by the next day.(fuel pump) They provided me with a courtesy ride back to work where I had an extra vehicle to drive. In 3 hours I had a call saying my truck was ready. The price was very reasonable, the staff extremely friendly and professional. These guys were incredible! First of all the used car selection in our price range was greater than any of the other dealerships we visited. Then when you factor in the customer service from the salesma selection in our price range was greater than any of the other dealerships we visited. The experience was great from the first call to find out if they even had a Prius to leaving the lot. The manager put me in touch with Justin who spent a lot of time finding me the right Prius with the opt if they even had a Prius to leaving the lot. I came in Justin had the paperwork ready. After it was filled out we took a test drive where he showed me the new features the Prius had to offer. As a previous Prius owner I was already familiar with the car but they had added some new things to make the driving experience better. After the test drive they showed me my options for payment and price range with and without the extended warrenty. Having side by side comparrisons made it very easy to decided on what options I wanted. Paul in finance made all the paperwork fast and easy. I had a great experience and liked being treated like a person. Meaning no one tried to talk down or talk me up. They knew what I wanted and gave it to me witha bit extra. Justin even put my license plates on and I was off and running. Paul called me a bit later to let me know Toyota had even lowered the finance rate a bit more. Yeah!! More

My visit went exceptionally well, I walked on the lot with a vin number for a car I saw on the website that I was interested in. He was informative without having a sales person attitude, my experience here was not rushed nor did I feel pushed to make a decision. He was also efficient with my time and introduced me to a number of other specialist on the lot whom all treated me like an old friend. I bought a beautiful Hyundai Electra with a three year warranty and was very satisfied with my experience and my car. I would highly recommend this location to anyone, they care about your experience and you walk out feeling like you just bought a car that is guarantee to work and that's very reliable. Ask for the Carfax for any vehicle you are interested in, which gives you its history, any accidents, etc. Get the dealer service record if it is a Certified Toyota vehicle, which shows what they did to it in order to prepare it for certification. Tonkin willingly provided that information to me. Then be prepared to bargain. You must be prepared to leave if you can't live with their final price. It is an adversarial process, but it can also be a friendly one. Only one minor problem in the five days I've had my car. When I drove the certified 2010 Toyota Sienna before buying it, the tire pressure light stayed on. Tonkin fixed it before I test drove it. Driving home after I bought it, the light came on again. I took it to the Toyota dealer closest to me. There was a nail in the tire. They fixed it. More
