Scheduled with Ron Tonkin for a service recall. 1st off they didn't complete the service by the time promised and Friday evening let me know that I couldn't take the car when I attempted pickup. And, this is where things went bad. I asked to see my car - they said sure. I entered the service bay and noticed that the mechanic improperly jacked my car on the lift by the rocker panels on all 4 corners! photos.smugmug.com/Galle… photos.smugmug.com/Galle… Brought this to the service managers attention. Ron Tonkin kept my car for an additional week. Had their "body shop" take a look at it and they came back saying "no damage". The rocker panels were warped/damaged at all 4 corners and they needed to be replaced. photos.smugmug.com/Galle… The Service Manager essentially told me to kick rocks. Ron Tonkin damaged my vehicle and forced my hand to repair what was essentially a brand new $38,000 car. Got the rocker panels replaced through insurance/professional body shop. Total repair bill was $1376.13. I took one of the damaged rocker panels and the repair invoice to the service manager and advised them that I expected to be reimbursed for the damages. Received a message from an actual Ron Tonkin family member explaining that they would not be covering the damages since I did not allow them to repair it. It took my insurance company sending legal notices for Ron Tonkin to finally pay up. For 5 months I was out my $500 deductible and I now face the risk of higher insurance rates. If I hadn't gone through insurance I would have had to take them to small claims court. All said it was a terrible experience and they treated me like xxxx. I will never return or purchase vehicles from any Ron Tonkin dealership. summary: Ron Tonkin damaged my vehicle. Refused to fix. Refused to pay. 2+ weeks without my car. Wasted my time. We stopped by the dealership and the service manager Lucas, said to leave it and they'd take a look. They gave us a loaner, and fixed the problem. He said they wanted to do the right thing, and they did! Yelina in sales was super sweet, Lucas, a true professional. Tony and Kelly in finance, great communicators throughout the process. We will definitely go back! More

Sales said they would take care of both on 3/22/2016 no word from them since. service said they would take care of damage or 3/28 their vender call last week said they were told to take care of it . Have not received anything yet from anyone. In the first 5 weeks have had to replace 1 headlight housing,spare tire&wheel,1 door lock switch ,windshield , oxygen sensor ,fuel tank sending unit, remove all fuel injection lines and sensors to clean them out dew to low fuel pressure & fuel filter A sign of quality truck they sold me.Service did not understand why I would be upset since all repairs were covered by factory warranty or by the extended warranty. I did not buy the truck to be in the service department every other week. Good news have had it out of service for 3 days and it is still running More

I returned a part that said on the invoice was a 20% restocking fee, they charged me 35%. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! More

R.T.C. has a unique on line negotiation form that lets you haggle & counter offer & accept final deal all online. they were also great about accepting 3 different forms of payment on a Sunday; ATM, Cash & personal check from my young 20 year old son with an Olive Garden server's income. I feel ripped off I bought a 2015 Malibu LTZ Turbo. Having navigation is important to me so I asked right off if this car had it and was told by Alex (salesman) that indeed it did and that the car had everything and there was nothing to add. I couldn't figure out how to access the navigation and it turned out that it wasn't there to access. I went back and forth with the dealership for weeks and would have settled for a $300 portable unit and they still would not make it right. They said that I signed the paperwork and they were not going to to anything. My wife will be trading in her car next year but we will not go anywhere near Ron Tonkin Chevy. Once you've signed they are done with you. I am extremely unhappy with them. A friend tried to warn me about them but I did not listen, now he smiles and says "Told ya so". More
