Parts not Ordered but Scheduled Anyways! Called to schedule a service for a Recall on AIRBAGS. They scheduled me for 8/8/2017 at 5:30 PM. Had to get off work early and when I got there they told me my parts were not in, they hadn't even made a request/purchase yet! Why did you schedule me?! I also mentioned to them that I got a shield guard for the inside and outside of my car when purchased, but was never called back to schedule. They told me that purchase was not in the system. I was called a liar, thank goodness I had the contract in my car showing I did in fact buy it! Service here has just been awful. They will sweet talk you into making a purchase and just dump you into a system that doesn't even work. More

I bought a new Spark and the first time I had my oil changed they had me sitting in the waiting room half a day. Each time I said something about the wait I was told "they would get to it quickly".... but didn't. I told them I was on work time but it made no difference at all. I have yet to have a good experience going to this service department. More
Unprofessional service department Brought my car in first thing on Thursday morning, was asked if I minded if they keep it overnight if need be. I told them I'd rather not because I drive for Lyft and needed my car that night. I was told they would do their best. The entire day went by and I never received a status update call. I called later in the evening but the service dept was already closed. I even responded to their text message earlier in the day asking for an update when I know the dept was still open and I received no response. When I was told my car was ready, I asked for a shuttle since I used the shuttle when I first dropped my car off. I was told by Mike that he didn't have anyone available, and I responded by telling him I had no way of getting there. It was only until then that he found someone to pick me up. When I got to the dealer I presented them with a 15% off coupon which I had presented when I first dropped my car off. The employee said he needed to run it by Mike first to be sure he didn't already take the coupon off of my invoice (Mike was on the phone at the time). When he mentioned it to Mike, he turned petulant and grabbed the invoice out of the employees hand and said he would take care of it. Both the employee and myself were taken aback. Extremely unprofessional. Never again will I bring my car back. More
The service department is less than poor!! We have used their service department 4 times so far. The first time we came in we asked for someone to look at our 3M product on both new vehicles because it was coming off on the edges. We were told to come back when it fell completely off. The second time we came in the back of the passenger seat fell off (broken) after their department replaced a cooling vent in it. We had to wait weeks for a replacement part. The third visit we told the service department during an oil change that there was a screw in the rear driver's side tire. We paid extra to have the tire fixed and rotated. Two days later the front driver's side tire (which was the original tire with the screw) was low on air with the same screw in it. The 4th time we were in, just recently, we made an appointment for 12:00. We arrived early and at the time of the appointment we were told that everyone went to lunch and we would have to wait. After a conversation about customer service, a scheduled appointment and the total customer experience the vehicle was taken care of. Honestly, I have told everyone that has a Chevy to avoid this service department at all costs. More

Incompetent and Shady My nightmare: 2016 Camaro with ~ 6000 miles on the odometer. Scheduled with Ron Tonkin for a service recall. 1st off they didn't complete the s My nightmare: 2016 Camaro with ~ 6000 miles on the odometer. Scheduled with Ron Tonkin for a service recall. 1st off they didn't complete the service by the time promised and Friday evening let me know that I couldn't take the car when I attempted pickup. And, this is where things went bad. I asked to see my car - they said sure. I entered the service bay and noticed that the mechanic improperly jacked my car on the lift by the rocker panels on all 4 corners! photos.smugmug.com/Galle… photos.smugmug.com/Galle… Brought this to the service managers attention. Ron Tonkin kept my car for an additional week. Had their "body shop" take a look at it and they came back saying "no damage". The rocker panels were warped/damaged at all 4 corners and they needed to be replaced. photos.smugmug.com/Galle… The Service Manager essentially told me to kick rocks. Ron Tonkin damaged my vehicle and forced my hand to repair what was essentially a brand new $38,000 car. Got the rocker panels replaced through insurance/professional body shop. Total repair bill was $1376.13. I took one of the damaged rocker panels and the repair invoice to the service manager and advised them that I expected to be reimbursed for the damages. Received a message from an actual Ron Tonkin family member explaining that they would not be covering the damages since I did not allow them to repair it. It took my insurance company sending legal notices for Ron Tonkin to finally pay up. For 5 months I was out my $500 deductible and I now face the risk of higher insurance rates. If I hadn't gone through insurance I would have had to take them to small claims court. All said it was a terrible experience and they treated me like xxxx. I will never return or purchase vehicles from any Ron Tonkin dealership. summary: Ron Tonkin damaged my vehicle. Refused to fix. Refused to pay. 2+ weeks without my car. Wasted my time. Treated me, the customer, poorly. More

In the first couple of days of driving it around town, we noticed the shifting was really rough and the car lurched a lot even while driving at a constant speed. We stopped by the dealership and the service manager Lucas, said to leave it and they'd take a look. They gave us a loaner, and fixed the problem. He said they wanted to do the right thing, and they did! Yelina in sales was super sweet, Lucas, a true professional. Tony and Kelly in finance, great communicators throughout the process. We will definitely go back! More
