Excellent service i contacted Hilltop and within a week I was driving off the lot in my 2011 Avenger. The entire staff was helpful, friendly, and respectful despite my relatively low credit they worked to get me a car that matched my financial needs and personal taste. I will definitely be returning when it comes time to purchase my next vehicle. More
A pleasant surprise and a new car that I LOVE I went to Hilltop Chevrolet with low credit and low expectations. I had an 04 Cavalier with some body issues, an oil leak, and who know's what else wr I went to Hilltop Chevrolet with low credit and low expectations. I had an 04 Cavalier with some body issues, an oil leak, and who know's what else wrong with it. I was fairly convinced that, based on my previous inability to get financed for a vehicle (or even get a credit card due to some mistakes I'd made when I was around 20). The finance manager I dealt with was not only able to get me approved but gave me some great advice on how to get my credit built back up. My salesman was also really funny and helpful and I appreciated everyone's help in getting me into my new car and not making me feel bad about my credit problems. They were even able to help me get set up with insurance, and got me the kind of payments I needed. I've had the car for some months now and it's been great. Whenever I've had to bring it in for service, they've been quick and friendly... they even gave me a free state inspection when I came in last month. The only problem I had with the dealership was with the general manager who I had dealt with when I bought the car, but while waiting for my inspection and oil change to be finished, I chatted with my salesman and he introduced me to the new manager, who is MUCH friendlier and more professional. After the way they helped me, I was sure to bring my sister there for service and my boyfriend there when he decided it was time to get a new car, and they helped him out in much the same way! More
Horrible Communication and Service I was contacted by R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet after using a third-party dealer finder site and filled them in on my current financial situation and what I I was contacted by R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet after using a third-party dealer finder site and filled them in on my current financial situation and what I was looking for. The internet sales agent and I briefly discussed a few options and I was told that I would be contacted with further information at the end of the day -- the end of the day came and went and I heard nothing from the agent. I called the agent the next day and was then told that the business manager was out of the office and that they would be back on Monday to review my information. That Monday came and went without a word from the agent or a representative from the dealership after being told I would be called back on, at this time, two occasions. I sent an e-mail to the agent on Tuesday -- heard nothing, so I called the agent and was given the runaround of why I was not contacted and that they STILL had not had a chance to review my information; this is now 5 days without any update or contact from them. I received an e-mail from the general manager checking in to see how my experience has been with the dealership... I was honest and upfront. The communication which his staff has provided thus far was less than stellar. He apologized and I was then told that no one was deliberately ignoring me -- really? No contact after being told on numerous occasions that someone would get back to me and no one does? Perhaps not deliberate, however, no one seemed very interested in keeping their customer in the loop of where they were in the process. In the same e-mail thread the GM told me that he should have an answer by the end of the day... NO WORD from anyone! We are now over a week since I first spoke with the internet sales agent and I've heard nothing from them other than myself reaching out to them and getting the runaround. I've since gone into a dealership and got into a new vehicle without issue. R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet sales department leaves a lot to be desired. They appear to be very unprofessional and have great difficulty in forming new relationships with their potential customers. As I mentioned to the GM, I am not telling them how to communicate with their customers, I was merely exposing some leaks they have in communication with their customers. Guess what?! I was spot on. Even the GM cannot pick up the ball to build a relationship with a customer that is clearly dissatisfied. Whether it is cash, check or a bankruptcy discharge EVERY potential customer should be treated as if they are the most important asset of the company because if it were not for ALL of us, from all walks of life and situations... they would have no business whatsoever. These folks should take some lessons from Autofair on how to get things done and how to treat their customers. I do not and will not recommend R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet to anyone. More
Wanted to buy a car, willing to trade mine in. They blew cigarette smoke in my face, they laughed at me because I'm eighteen and needed something different. My father wanted to get himself a pickup truck. H cigarette smoke in my face, they laughed at me because I'm eighteen and needed something different. My father wanted to get himself a pickup truck. He brought a flyer he got in the mail and they laughed at him for asking if it was the right place. One salesman told him that there's "like zero chance" he could win what they were advertising. I told them I thought the volt was cute and he laughed for a good five minutes and told me "you gotta crawl before you walk" which was so rude. Yes I'm eighteen, but I work a lot, I'm smart mature and responsible. Plus the guy had his cigarette blowing in my face so I was pretty much smoking it for him. The other guy was texting while we were asking questions. Go to north Berwick auto. We've gotten two cars from them, they're so sweet and really care about their customers. They handle the paperwork quickly and efficiently. They are very patient and very open to letting you test drive multiple of their cars. I'm going to stick with those guys. Hilltop Chevy could take some pointers from them. More
If you get a flyer in the mail for a drawing for publicity from these people don't go BECAUSE IN MY OPPINION....... There a bunch of scam artists. come on HillTop at least be honest tell people that publicity from these people don't go BECAUSE IN MY OPPINION....... There a bunch of scam artists. come on HillTop at least be honest tell people that you don't intend to give away a car or any of the other prizes you promised. Tell the truth before the people who are truly looking for car never want to come back. I was lied to so bad from these people just for them to try to make a buck. I wouldn't trust them to sell me a car if they lie about small thing like a drawing for prizes. Cars carry precious cargo like my family hello that's a big deal to me well if you wanna trust a dealer go to Portcity Nissan Portsmouth NH they'll treat you very well and wont lie to get your Business. Lured in by a scam. One of those prize flyers. Was going to buy a car anyways, so figured what the heck. Got there, they seemed friendly at first. Went to the kiosk and won 2 bucks, was told the big drawing to buy a car anyways, so figured what the heck. Got there, they seemed friendly at first. Went to the kiosk and won 2 bucks, was told the big drawing was the next night. That they were drawing for a TV. Went back the next night, a room full of people and they pulled out a Xbox and drew for that. 1 lousy xbox. When I asked about the TV the salesman tried to say I misunderstood. When I said 5 other people said the same thing, he just shrugged his shoulders. All of the people there were lied to. The men at this dealership is the reason people think of shady dealers and don't want to go car hunting. When I asked about the grand prizes I was told those were on the kiosk, funny everyone I talked to there got 2 bucks. I ended up across the street from them buying a car at Kia. Seen 3 others from that night there too. Hope their happy losing business, because of shady practices. More

I found the vehicle on-line, stopped by the dealership,Jesse answered my questions without being pushy, let me test drive the vehicle, and introduced me to Bill the sales manager. They gave me a great deal on a good used car. The staff was friendly, professional, listened to my needs, and were accommodating. They worked well together.I would highly recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to stop in and give these guys a chance to impress you. And, I bet they'll do just that. Thanks guys! More
