K I recently purchased a new Chevy Silverado from Hilltop. I couldn't be happier with my new truck. Kylie was very friendly and great to work with. Kevin showed me all the bells and whistles and Mr. Currier went out of his way to introduce himself and personally thank me for choosing Hilltop. Class act all the way around. When I was leaving with my new truck I stopped to thank Kevin for the overall experience. He told me "teamwork makes the dream-work" and I couldn't agree more! More

I was so excited when we were thinking about purchasing a new car and Bob was friendly and really took the time to show us about the cars even took the time to go through all the features with us and getting our onstar set up! He knew we wanted safe and what he brought to us was an all wheel drive car with 10 airbags! (doesn't get much safer then that). I would recommend Bob Neely to everyone and plan on purchasing another car in the future with him! More

He took the time to ask me how I would use the vehicle and what features were important to me. Once he understood what I was looking for he asked what payment range I looking to stay within. He showed me several options, although I did not find what I wanted that day he kept in contact with me as other options became available. I did eventually purchase a vehicle and have used their service department as well. I would recommend the people here as they are friendly and helpful. Every time I call the phone is answered professionally and calls are transferred correctly. Bob in the sales department is knowledgeable and considerate. The service department is also very helpful. I would recommend this dealership for a stress free car buying experience. More
RUN away, do not purchase from Hilltop Chevrolet! My husband and I visited Hilltop Chevrolet back at the end of January 2015 because my husband had received a flyer in the mail stating that he was a " My husband and I visited Hilltop Chevrolet back at the end of January 2015 because my husband had received a flyer in the mail stating that he was a "winner of a prize". My husband was also looking for a new truck with a bigger back seat to accommodate a car seat, as we were expecting our first child. As soon as we walked into the dealership, we were tackled by a man who would not tell us what the "prize" was, but instead immediately got down to business with what kind of truck my husband had to trade in, and what kind of truck he was looking for. He immediately found a "great used truck" and had my husband take it out for a test drive. We liked the truck, and when we got back the salesperson again immediately got down to business with what payments would look like. At this point my husband had asked twice about the flyer he had brought in but kept getting the run around as to what the "prize" was. The salesperson told us that the truck cost was $38,500, that they would pay off my husbands truck payments on his existing truck, and give him $2000 cash back. The payments looked affordable. After some deliberation, my husband decided to purchase this truck. Once we sat down with the finance guy, and added in all of the warranties and signed for the truck, we were now looking at a payment of almost $200 a month more than what we originally were told. The next morning, less then 18 hours after the deal had been made, my husband went back down to the dealership after not getting very much sleep worrying about his payments all night, and asked if he could change the deal for different truck. They gave him an extremely hard time. We dealt with them for the next three days with issues with the truck, the sales people were extremely rude, telling my husband he was a "big boy" and made the decision to purchase the trucks, but they didn't for him to buy it. Let me know also state that they had "hired help" from all over the country the weekend that we purchased this truck. Half of them did not know what they were talking about, and again some of them were extremely rude. we recently went to a different dealership to try to get my husband out of this truck even though he would end up upside down with his loan. We went to a reputable dealership in Portsmouth, who told us that his truck for trade-in would only be worth about $23,000 if it was in perfect condition, which at first glance it looks like it might be, but there are a lot of blemishes to the truck inside and out. This dealership in Portsmouth also informed us that resale of this truck would be about $27,000. which means my husband paid almost 12,000 dollars more for this truck then what he should have. to make matters worse, the sale price of the truck after looking further at thepaperwork was not $38,500, but instead over $41,000. so, the $2000 that they were giving him back on the purchase of this truck actually got added into the loan without telling us. My husband is now $20,000 in the hole with this truck, because of the shady dealings at Hilltop Chevrolet. I cannot stress to you enough, DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership! By the way, the "prize" from the flyer, turned out to be a $5.00 gift card to Walmart! Ridiculous... More

Not only did they get me in immediately, they worked to save me money by offering different workarounds to one of my problems, and even replaced the recall ignition part (separate issue) while they were at it. Everyone was super friendly and made the entire experience much more bearable. I also earned money on their rewards card towards future work, which is a great free extra value. More

A pleasant surprise and a new car that I LOVE I went to Hilltop Chevrolet with low credit and low expectations. I had an 04 Cavalier with some body issues, an oil leak, and who know's what else wrong with it. I was fairly convinced that, based on my previous inability to get financed for a vehicle (or even get a credit card due to some mistakes I'd made when I was around 20). The finance manager I dealt with was not only able to get me approved but gave me some great advice on how to get my credit built back up. My salesman was also really funny and helpful and I appreciated everyone's help in getting me into my new car and not making me feel bad about my credit problems. They were even able to help me get set up with insurance, and got me the kind of payments I needed. I've had the car for some months now and it's been great. Whenever I've had to bring it in for service, they've been quick and friendly... they even gave me a free state inspection when I came in last month. The only problem I had with the dealership was with the general manager who I had dealt with when I bought the car, but while waiting for my inspection and oil change to be finished, I chatted with my salesman and he introduced me to the new manager, who is MUCH friendlier and more professional. After the way they helped me, I was sure to bring my sister there for service and my boyfriend there when he decided it was time to get a new car, and they helped him out in much the same way! More
Horrible Communication and Service I was contacted by R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet after using a third-party dealer finder site and filled them in on my current financial situation and what I I was contacted by R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet after using a third-party dealer finder site and filled them in on my current financial situation and what I was looking for. The internet sales agent and I briefly discussed a few options and I was told that I would be contacted with further information at the end of the day -- the end of the day came and went and I heard nothing from the agent. I called the agent the next day and was then told that the business manager was out of the office and that they would be back on Monday to review my information. That Monday came and went without a word from the agent or a representative from the dealership after being told I would be called back on, at this time, two occasions. I sent an e-mail to the agent on Tuesday -- heard nothing, so I called the agent and was given the runaround of why I was not contacted and that they STILL had not had a chance to review my information; this is now 5 days without any update or contact from them. I received an e-mail from the general manager checking in to see how my experience has been with the dealership... I was honest and upfront. The communication which his staff has provided thus far was less than stellar. He apologized and I was then told that no one was deliberately ignoring me -- really? No contact after being told on numerous occasions that someone would get back to me and no one does? Perhaps not deliberate, however, no one seemed very interested in keeping their customer in the loop of where they were in the process. In the same e-mail thread the GM told me that he should have an answer by the end of the day... NO WORD from anyone! We are now over a week since I first spoke with the internet sales agent and I've heard nothing from them other than myself reaching out to them and getting the runaround. I've since gone into a dealership and got into a new vehicle without issue. R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet sales department leaves a lot to be desired. They appear to be very unprofessional and have great difficulty in forming new relationships with their potential customers. As I mentioned to the GM, I am not telling them how to communicate with their customers, I was merely exposing some leaks they have in communication with their customers. Guess what?! I was spot on. Even the GM cannot pick up the ball to build a relationship with a customer that is clearly dissatisfied. Whether it is cash, check or a bankruptcy discharge EVERY potential customer should be treated as if they are the most important asset of the company because if it were not for ALL of us, from all walks of life and situations... they would have no business whatsoever. These folks should take some lessons from Autofair on how to get things done and how to treat their customers. I do not and will not recommend R.C. Hilltop Chevrolet to anyone. More
Wanted to buy a car, willing to trade mine in. They blew cigarette smoke in my face, they laughed at me because I'm eighteen and needed something different. He brought a flyer he got in the mail and they laughed at him for asking if it was the right place. One salesman told him that there's "like zero chance" he could win what they were advertising. I told them I thought the volt was cute and he laughed for a good five minutes and told me "you gotta crawl before you walk" which was so rude. Yes I'm eighteen, but I work a lot, I'm smart mature and responsible. Plus the guy had his cigarette blowing in my face so I was pretty much smoking it for him. The other guy was texting while we were asking questions. Go to north Berwick auto. We've gotten two cars from them, they're so sweet and really care about their customers. They handle the paperwork quickly and efficiently. They are very patient and very open to letting you test drive multiple of their cars. I'm going to stick with those guys. Hilltop Chevy could take some pointers from them. More
