My experience at Kia was in the service dept. , I did not purchase the vehicle there as there were none available when we were looking. Had gone in for some recalls in December, no biggie, all see , I did not purchase the vehicle there as there were none available when we were looking. Had gone in for some recalls in December, no biggie, all seemed normal, no high pressure to purchase anything additional which was great. Fast forward to begining of February when my wife was driving the vehicle and it died on the highway. Misfire, changed spark plugs, no fix, so swapped coils, same issue. Knew there were issues with these at times so brought it in and dropped it off. Was told it may take a few days which was not a problem. Get a call a few days later, engine seems to have a failed cylinder but they need to have the warranty provider out to inspect to look further, no big deal, approved. At this point most communication stopped and only time we go any information was when we called and most of these required a long wait or a call back. Finally call again to see if it is covered and it is, GREAT! Would have been nice to get that call but understand they are busy. Was told it may be a while as parts are on backorder. I understood, had done some research prior and know about all the parts issues all over the country as I have worked in dealerships and insurance for the last 20ish years. Again, called now and then to check status, parts still on backorder, ok. No courtesy calls, always calls needing to be made. During all this we never requested a rental but we're told we were on a list. Getting into May and weather getting warmer we call and see if a rental may be possible as our other vehicle doesn't have air conditioning and have 2 small children. Told we are on the list. Just before memorial day we call and are told parts are in, should get it the Friday before memorial day. AWESOME! Call Friday, not even started, we were told they didn't want to start before the weekend...after we had been told it would be ready then. Tues comes and they have started. Get the call a few days later, it's done! Go pick it up, bring it to the gas station, drive home and all seems well. Look over the vehicle and find tape down the drivers side (just peeled it off), greasy finger prints all over the front (most wiped off), shift lock cap missing from shifter (found under seat), open the hood and the cloth heat shield at the firewall/bulkhead is torn and hanging, walk around vehicle and both left side drivers taillights are broken with the inner having a hole. Reach out, no answers and left multiple voicemail with no call backs. Wife calls, they answer so I get on the phone. Go over with Tyler the issues. Admits the front was most likely them but they did no work to the rear. Ask if the vehicle was moved at all by pushing it, then asks if I can bring it in to take a look and take photos. I ask if I can take photos and send and he agrees. A few emails back and forth as he is looking into it. Come June I should have an answer by the end of the day. Respond that I really just want the inner taillight/back up lamp as it has a hole. No communication since, have sent additional emails. Calls go to voicemail. I tried to be a understanding as I could through the entire process, didn't want to be a pain of a customer especially on a warranty job but the customer " service " was terrible and essentially non-existent. Thought I found a decent place to bring my vehicle, but I guess not. More
I brought my car in to get a sensor replaced under warranty on the rear bumper. Technician broke a couple clips along the rear left wheel well garnish/Moulding and did not inform me about it or take a warranty on the rear bumper. Technician broke a couple clips along the rear left wheel well garnish/Moulding and did not inform me about it or take action to fix it. Moulding wasn’t flush to the body of the car. They also left some glue residue on the bumper around the sensor which does not come off. This was service done on my new vehicle. I’m most upset at the lack of attention to detail and the service department which failed to inform me about the broken clips or the glue. When I notice a few minutes after arriving home I called them and they questioned if this actually happened. They did put me on the schedule to review the issue several weeks later after I called the service manager. I understand things can break but hiding this thinking the customer would not notice is sneaky and not honest. Here is a picture of the glue left on the sensor. Both issues have not been resolved. I actually have doubts they can remove the glue without ruining the paint. Very disappointed, will not be bringing my vehicle there again. More

We A few weeks back, while there for an oil change, the techs attempted to fix my rear seat overhead light...but ordered me a new one "just in case". Well, it broke again. I made a Saturday am appointment to get it fixed. I was a little nervous that I would spend my whole Saturday at service, However, service took me on time, and the tech had me in and out in less than an hour. The waiting room was comfortable, with tea and coffee. They even offered snacks to my daughter. My car was then cleaned by them before I left. The light works great and they did a wonderful job of keeping my white napa leather seats and light grey ceiling of the car clean and grease free while working. I would recommend their service to anyone. More

In talking with Al, the service manager, I mentioned that one of the interior lights was working intermittently and that the low tire indicator had gone during the recent cold snap, but the tire did not seem low. Al had his techs completely remove the light, re-install and it was working. Al, however, ordered me a new one and said it would be in in about 1 week. The service tech spent a long time working on my tire. Come to find out, a small piece of wire had pierced the tire and was causing a very slow leak. The service dept fixed the tire and washed my car. Everything was fixed perfectly in less than an hour. More

I wrote those off as mistakes and moved on. I had one of the oil changes performed on my car in September, and 2 1/2 weeks later the engine seized and when I brought it to my mechanic to check the car they told me there wasn't an oil filter on the car. Obviously there was one when they did the oil change but it had worked itself off. I had the car towed to the service center so they could look at it and their answer was that it didn't look like it had worked itself loose because there would have been more oil splatter, and that they had no idea how the filter could've come off. So, because they couldn't find a way that the filter could've come off it wasn't their doing. They didn't offer me any possible reasons, and did absolutely nothing for me to fix the problem. I ended up towing the car out of there and had to get it fixed because all they could tell me was it didn't look like it was their fault. More
