Do your home work there are better dealers I typically don't write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled. I recently purchased a used 2014 Audi from this dealership. I had been looking I typically don't write reviews, but in this case I felt compelled. I recently purchased a used 2014 Audi from this dealership. I had been looking for this specific Audi for some and could have purchased from other dealers that where further away. To be fair, Kingston was convenient for me but the sales person Anthony really worked with me to get the deal I wanted and a reasonable trade in value for my trade. From the sales process perspective, the process was fair and respectful. I did test drive the vehicle which had been in use by the Owner of the dealership. When I drove the car, I didn't really notice any issues with the tires, but now having the car just a couple of days it became apparent that they put ultra cheap tires Vitron. $50 per tire on TireRack I took the vehicle back to the dealer and they claimed to force test the tires and re-balanced them as well as road test. The technician indicated that the tires where "choppy". While I cannot comment on the work the dealership did, there is absolutely no way they road tested this car. When driving the car from 45mph to 80 mph the car just shimmy's so much so that my kids think it is funny to ride in the back. They say it would like having a Jiffy Pop Popcorn cooking under their butts. I took the car back and Anthony the sales person drove the car and acknowledged that the tires are shot and the car is not riding as it should. Anthony approached the used car sales manager George to replace the tires, but the request as denied, as anticipated. Anthony has said he will speak with the owner directly, but it has been a week and I have not heard back yet, though I suspect I won't get any satisfaction to this issue. So, while I appreciate Anthony's efforts, unfortunately this dealership is demonstrating exactly why some dealers have bad reputations and customer service and look upon the sale of a vehicle as a near term commodity with no long term customer retention strategies. As an aside, my other vehicle needed a transmission flush, the privately owned transmission shop, sent a tech to my house, picked up my car, did the work and returned the vehicle to my home. Bare in mind, this is the first time I have used this shop based on a recommendation from my local mechanic. This small privately held transmission shop has learned about customer service and satisfaction. Volkswagon of Kingston could learn quite a few things from the transmission shop. In short, I don't expect any resolution to the situation and will likely have to purchase new tires. Based on this experience, I would not recommend and or ever purchase another vehicle or have my car serviced at the Volkswagon of Kingston. More

Good selection of VWs, knowledgable staff My wife and I went to VW of Kingston to test drive the Golf Sportwagen and the Passat sedan. Our shopping experience was excellent from beginning to My wife and I went to VW of Kingston to test drive the Golf Sportwagen and the Passat sedan. Our shopping experience was excellent from beginning to end. Both cars were available for us to test drive, and even on the highway. The pricing was presented quickly and clearly. We ultimately did not buy a car because we were looking for an all wheel drive wagon, and the VW Golf Alltrack had not started shipping yet. We ended up buying a different make of car, but I would go back to this dealership in the future if I was in the market for a VW. More

Honesty and fairness in a car dealership I moved to the capital district 3 years ago and have had nothing but issues from the VW dealers here. We all know the "huge" guy in the commercials i I moved to the capital district 3 years ago and have had nothing but issues from the VW dealers here. We all know the "huge" guy in the commercials in Schenectady and the other dealer in Latham. When considering a new Jetta, I decided to make the 73 mile drive from home to visit VW of Kingston. I'm glad I did!!!!! The salesman Anthony and manager Chris worked diligently to arrive at a fair deal! I received a good price on my trade and bought the new Jetta for thousands under the sticker price! In fact, similar Jettas marked as "specials" by dealers in the Albany area would have cost $2,000.00 more had I bought the car here! Best 73 miles driven, I have ever driven! If you are in the market for a new VW, go to Kingston and see Anthony or Chris. You will be glad you did. More

Come at the end of the month; get a great deal!! I was leary of going back to a VW after my experiences with another Hudson Valley area VW dealer. I read the reviews on here and other review sites, I was leary of going back to a VW after my experiences with another Hudson Valley area VW dealer. I read the reviews on here and other review sites, and decided to give this dealer a shot. I first dealt with the MC Reopell, who was very friendly, helpful and reassuring when I had questions or doubts. She set up an appointment for me, and when I showed up, I met George (the certified sales manager, whose face I knew from the dealer website), who introduced me to Anthony P who would be my salesman. I didn't know where to go when I entered the showroom, but George was the first person I saw, and he was ready with a smile to help. I started out looking at GTIs with Anthony. Anthony proved to be very knowledgeable about VWs (and 80s music), and also understanding of my situation and financial limitations. He showed me all the features of the GTI like a pro. When we got back, he ran numbers with Chris (general sales manager), and the numbers didn't line up with what I wanted to and was able to pay. I had him run numbers on other cars and they too did not come low enough. Chris came over at one point and I found him much friendlier than I'd expect from a general sales manager. They also had hotdogs and hamburgers grilling out front, which was a nice touch (they only have that at certain times, not every day). Anthony spent a long time trying to make a deal for me, but it just wasn't working for what I had on my end and what they could do on theirs. I bid farewell and sailed into the sunset (aka Barnes & Noble). I of course was still curious about what they could do for me and what I could get into. I texted Anthony and had him run numbers on a base Golf with sunroof. I didn't like the numbers and bid farewell again. The next day I get a call and text from Anthony saying that Chris V is waving the white flag (for the month?) and wants to make a deal. He gives a number closer to what I was looking for, but I really didn't want to pay that much for a base Golf with sunroof. I asked if he could match or come close on the next trim level up. I really didn't expect them to want to deal with me at this point (if not much earlier too), but I got a text from Anthony the next morning with a quote not far off from what I would've expected. I came in, test drove the Golf SE, and then signed on the line (a good 20 times). I met with Joe the finance manager (who happens to be Anthony's brother) who was also very nice and helpful. He tried to get me to add an extended warranty package onto my lease, but I ended up declining since they were all too expensive for me, even with him discounting them. He had me come back in 2 hours which would give them time to prep the car and get the lease and insurance details settled. All in all, this place had it more together than other dealers I've been too, especially for the end of the month. They are very organized and have people in the background, like MC Reopell and George Moylan, who are making sure things go smoothly and are organized right. I ended up getting a very good deal for the car I ended up leasing. Though my payments are higher than I wanted (or will have an easy time paying), they are low for my mediocre credit, negative equity trade and the car I got, which is practically a luxury car, at least compared to all of my other past cars. The Golf TSI SE is close to loaded, with a panoramic moonroof, heated leatherette seats, bright headlights and foglights (and these are not even the xenon lights), automatic wipers, Fender stereo and other high-end features you don't typically find on such an inexpensive car. The car also rides a lot nicer than most other cars I've had. Get to this dealer now!!!! More
