I have had my vehicle in the shop severl times for the same issue. While several of the issues were addressed, the main issue of the radio not comming on or just blanking out for several minuetes, and the same issue. While several of the issues were addressed, the main issue of the radio not comming on or just blanking out for several minuetes, and the auto shutoff still continue to be a problem. When my vehicle is in the service department, they are very good with communicating what is going on. If it is out of the shop witing on parts, that communication is lacking. Several times I had to inquire weeks later, if the parts that had been ordered had come in rather than beeing notified by service that they were in. Being over an hour away from the dealer does not afford me a shuttle ride, nor are there loaner cars or rentals for warranty service. This makes getting my vehicle into the shop for a lengthy dignosis proces and repair very difficut. While I have purchased several vehicles from Roger Williams in the past, and for the most part the staff are very helpfull. These logisticl issues do make it difficult to consider another purchase in the futuer. More
The Service Team is friendly but the last 2 times I used them, the service wasn't great. The first time, I wasn't told when making the appt that it may be days before they could look at my Wagoneer. I left it for a couple of days and they got to some of the items. They didn't have parts for a recall. The second time we took it there, we knew they wanted to keep it a couple of days so we planned for it. On day 2, we called to check in and our rep had the day off. So no info. On day 3, we called to say we need to get it today. They did what they could but they forgot to do some things. They apologized. Also, even when given a written list or detailed list by phone, when we drop the Jeep, they ask what it's coming in form. We try to refer them to the notes but it's always a different person checking us in vs who we mad the appt. with. These are all minor things in the grand scheme but they are annoyances. It just seems like a disjointed workflow. What good would look like to me: 1. I call to make a service appointment and we go over everything we would like to have done. 2. The rep gives us their best estimate of timing and maybe even looks up the recalls to manage expectations over the phone as to whether they do or do not have the parts in stock 3. When we drop it off, the greeter scans the VIN, pulls up the order and starts off by saying, "I see you're setup to have an oil change, tire rotation, a recall and some issue withe the dash display - is that right? 4. We confirm, we go over these items as needed and the rep gives us an updated sense of when they think we can come back for the Jeep. It seems simple but I am sure it's more complicated than this.
