Follow up after Sale is not as Impressive Our daughter was in an accident which forced us to look for a vehicle before we had planned. We purchased a 2013 Toyota Rav 4 from RM Auto Brokers. Our daughter was in an accident which forced us to look for a vehicle before we had planned. We purchased a 2013 Toyota Rav 4 from RM Auto Brokers. Working with the Sales Rep to get the sale was not to painful. The follow up however was a little disappointing. When we purchased the vehicle we were told there was a recall that needed to be resolved and we were given only 1 key. They indicated that the records showed their were two keys but he needed to locate it. He also let us know he would get us information on the recall so we could get it taken care of. We left messages none of which was ever returned. We are now 6 months into the car and have also found out that one of the tires has a patched hole and may need to be replaced (not disclosed). We also took the vehicle to the Toyota dealership to resolve the recall.. This was done almost immediately upon getting the vehicle home because we wanted to ensure we had a safe vehicle our daughter was driving before we let her go. We never received a call back on our request for the recall information nor did they ever call to tell us they could or couldn't find the other key. While we were there we were also told by the Toyota dealership there was what appeared to be a rodent nest in the engine. This could not have been from our garage as our other cars are good and it was close to the purchase of the vehicle. Thus my opinion is they work very hard to impress you to get the sale and get you out the door; but once the sale is completed they do not take care to ensure the experience is completely positive. Overall we haven't had horrible issues with the used vehicle so we are happy with the car but we will have to spend the extra money to potentially replace a tire and get a secondary key. More
Extened Warranty Issue I had an extended warranty issue that was causing us to be on the hook for $665.00 for an alternator replacement. I called Rocky at Rocky Mountain Aut I had an extended warranty issue that was causing us to be on the hook for $665.00 for an alternator replacement. I called Rocky at Rocky Mountain Auto Brokers and he fixed the extended warranty issue so all we had to pay was our $100.00 deductible. That is great service you don't find a lot.. More

Follow up is everything I was happy with my car, but the after service leaves much to be desired. After setting up an “appointment” to have an error checked, my car was kept for 6 hours. I was told it needed a part and I would receive a call when it was ordered. That was 2 weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Luckily I was able to find the part online and had it fixed myself. I would never purchase another car from this dealership. More

The car had the check engine light on after just two weeks. Prior to my purchase, the salesman asured me this was a “recall free car”. One month later, I find out the car had two recalls prior to the purchase date of the vehicle. I was told $600 would be discounted off the vehicle and never was comintcated to the finance manager at the end. More
Bad and frustrating The last eight months had been nothing but fixing one thing after another and I'm on my back to the mechanic. Run very unethical The last eight months had been nothing but fixing one thing after another and I'm on my back to the mechanic. Run very unethical More

Was great at first but became a Nightmare This was my first vehicle purchase/trade-in so I did a ton of research and have been to a lot of dealerships trying to find the right car and they all This was my first vehicle purchase/trade-in so I did a ton of research and have been to a lot of dealerships trying to find the right car and they all gave my husband and I the full racket (ie: taking our car keys hostage, pulling in the manager when we tried to leave, low-balling our trade ins, trying to push us to spend an extra $20k, lying through their teeth, etc.) Rocky Mountain seemed different, the staff is superficially friendly and the waiting area feels like a mountain lodge which made the long process of car buying nicer. We were met on the lot by Tyler, an honest, hard-working, friendly guy that missed his lunch to help us get what we wanted. He spent a good 8-9 hours with us and never lost his poise, he also brought us water and coffee when we asked for it. We were soon introduced to Steve, who must be Texan with as happy and friendly as he was, only the south offers that kind of hospitality! Steve helped us get our heads wrapped around the process and was a very calming presence during a stressful event. We did end up spending $10k more than we wanted but it was for an upgrade we were very ready for. We traded in 3 vehicles with titles from 3 different states. They said it wasnt a problem, just bring them in and sign a contract and we’ll be done. Well it turned into 3 more trips and the computers arent working, we need to do a title transfer, your rates are going up/oh wait, no its lower now that you refuse to pay more, can you sign this blank form and we’ll print the form later, now we need your marriage license, paychecks year-to-date, and a utility bill, we were even encouraged to sign a power of attorney for someone else, told not to inform anyone at the dmv of our move to another state, it was a very odd experience. I told Steve I’d get to it as soon as I could and less than 12 hours later I was called by 4 or 5 different employees and managers over it. I feel completely harassed and am very confused about where they went wrong with their process. The hassle was not worth it in my opinion. It feels like a high end place until youre signing paperwork, then its about as shady as it gets. I can only hope that mine was a difficult deal and they dont do this to everyone but you never know. Good Luck. More
