My fiancé and I walked into the dealership expecting the worst from some shady car salesman. Friendly staff, but I was very disappointed in trade offer. Whoever did the appraisal didn't even include CD player or cruise control which adds $300 to the value according to kbb. I was offered $1000 u offer. Whoever did the appraisal didn't even include CD player or cruise control which adds $300 to the value according to kbb. I was offered $1000 under kbbs lowest trade value. Weren't willing to give me a penny more to make the sale. Also wasn't able to get a good interest rate unless I was willing to sacrifice rebates. I called Crown Kia in Tyler. They offered me 1000 more on my trade sight unseen. They also let me use my bank to finance which is much lower on interest and saves about 21 dollars a month on payments. Why couldn't Southwest be as accommodating? I guess if you have more customers you can afford to wait for the next sucker. More
My fiancé; and I were very excited and ready to purchase a used ford F-150 they had on their lot, We saw the car on the Internet for a great price but when we came into the dealership they told us purchase a used ford F-150 they had on their lot, We saw the car on the Internet for a great price but when we came into the dealership they told us that the was a $795 dealer fee that was added to the cars price but our sales person told us that its negotiable. When we were going through the buying process the first numbers they came out to us were insulting... A good $8000 in financing on a 8.9% finance rate.., things just weren't adding up. Then they told us they would not drop the dealer fee either and we weren't paying a fee that was negotiable. If everyone didn't have to pay it neither were we. Th worst thing of all way they submitted our credit for a loan to 14+ banks. They didn't even tell us how many times they submitted it. It wasn't until we were in the process of buying our brand new ford truck a few days later that the new dealership we were dealing with told us. We definitely didn't appreciate them being so reckless and inconsiderate of our personal information that ultimately didn't help our credit scores. I wouldn't send my worse enemy to this dealership. Buyer Beware - Get It In Writing or You Pay For It Buyer Beware - Get It In Writing or You Pay For It Salesmen at Southwest Kia Rockwall are typical cliché car salesman. They will promise you anythi Buyer Beware - Get It In Writing or You Pay For It Salesmen at Southwest Kia Rockwall are typical cliché car salesman. They will promise you anything to sell that car. I went to SW Kia for a Kia and was shown a Mazda3. Nice car but it had a damaged right rear door panel. Promises were made and paperwork was signed including notes to fix rear door. Later after paperwork was signed it was noted that there was a scratch on the windshield. The salesman promised that it can be buffed out, no problem. When you bring the car back for service it will be taken care of. Guess what. It was a verbal promise and not written down. So now I have to buy a windshield for my car. Paul at SW Kia said written agreement supersedes the oral agreement and since it wasn’t written down on the initial paperwork then they are not obligated to pay for the windshield repair. I have no problem with Service Department. The repair on the door panel was fixed very well and they did speak to sales management on my behalf since they witnessed the oral agreement the salesman made to fix the windshield. Incidents like this are why most people don’t like buying cars. More

After months of searching at multiple dealerships, I had just about given up on the car sales industry, and chosen to buy from in individual. I spoke with David, first on the phone, then email, and fin just about given up on the car sales industry, and chosen to buy from in individual. I spoke with David, first on the phone, then email, and finally in person at the dealership. What a pleasant experience it turned out to be, with minimal negotiation because of David's reasonable approach. I would highly recommend to anyone reading this review, if you'd like a painless car buying experience with a positive result, you truly need only one phone call to get you started. This dealership was service oriented, but David Thompson absolutely made me and my family feel extremely welcome, and I'm referring all of my friends and family to him directly. I came to test drive a Kia Optima and drove away with it. After being a Honda owner for several years, I can say that I love my Kia. David's customer service in my buying experience was exceptional. I went to Southwest Kia on May 07,2012 looking for a new car. Kathy Parks was my sales person and she was AWESOME! She was very kind and took the time to explain things to me as a first time buyer. I trad car. Kathy Parks was my sales person and she was AWESOME! She was very kind and took the time to explain things to me as a first time buyer. I traded in my 2010 Honda Civic. The deal was done on May 08,2012. I received my first car payment invoice at the end of May, so I thought that everything was completed. I was going through my emails (that I rarely check) and notice an email from the company that financed my honda. It has now been one month since the car deal was final and my trade in had not been paid off yet. I call and spoke with Eric in the finance department on June 01, 2012 and he was very non-chaulant about things and explained that this happens sometimes and not to worry, the check that the car lot sent in is pre-dated and the company that financed my Honda has to post the payment for the date that is on the check (Lie #1). He explained that the reason the car had not been paid off is because there was a little confusion on my down payment... my question is, IF THERE WAS CONFUSION...WHY DIDNT I GET A CALL?!? I took what Eric said and thought about it all that weekend, and it just didnt make that much sense to me, So I called the company that financed my vehicle and when I asked them if the pay off check is pre-dated if it is posted on that day. I basically got laughed at by the man on the phone and he said no. So I called Eric again on June 02,2012 and he said then he was sure the check was sent out (Lie #2) and not to worry about thing and he would give me a call back (Lie #3). I waited until 2:00 that Monday (June 04,2012) afternoon and there was no call back from Eric. I called Southwest back and Eric was out of the office and I spoke with a man by the name of Bill. He told me he would contact the accounting department and he would get back with me. I contacted the company that financed my vehicle again and they said noone had even called for a pay off amount on my vehicle. I called and spoke with Bill again a few days later and he told me the check was sent out but he was not sure when it was sent. I contacted the other company again and they told me the automated system was accessed on June 05,2012 for the first and only time... I went about 2 weeks trying to call people and noone would return my phone calls. UNTIL the car lot needed my signature on the back of a insurance check was sent to them...Eric called me and whenever I wanted to talk about the pay off on my car he said "Obviously I am not getting anywhere with you Lady Ill have my manager call you" So I waited a few days and I called Eric's manager, Paul, myself. He was the RUDEST person I had ever spoke with. On June 20,2012 my car was FINALLY paid off ONE day before it went against my credit. The car lot called and asked if they could send someone to my job to sign the insurance check. I explained to the man that I didnt work at the Hotel I previously worked at and he said ok he would call before he sent someone and get directions. The poor girl drove one hour out of her way and drove to my old job and I had to tell her to come to the bank I now work at. After all of that was setteled.. I get my license plates in the mail...with no registration sticker...hmmmm... so I called and the lady on the phone basically told me that there was nothing she could do about it and the only thing she could think of is it got lost on someone's desk in the process and call my local tax office and they will register it... Little does the know, BY LAW THE CAR LOT HAS TO PROVIDE ME WITH A STICKER! The same day, I get a thank you card in the mail... (on the day your deal is final they take your picture with your new car..they took mine and my husband's picture together) I appreciate the card... but who the people are in the picture...I DONT HAVE A CLUE... so my picture is floating around somewhere... Thanks but NO THANKS.... To make a LONG LONG LONG AWFUL story/experience short... Southwest KIA needs to get some sort of organization skills and learn better customer service....!!!!!!!! More
