I found this “2020 Ford F-150 custom black Widow edition by SCA” (VIN#: 1FTEW1E55LKD02973 Stock #: LKD02973) online at Rockwall Ford. I inquired about this vehicle for months as far back as June. Finally ga by SCA” (VIN#: 1FTEW1E55LKD02973 Stock #: LKD02973) online at Rockwall Ford. I inquired about this vehicle for months as far back as June. Finally gave in agreeing on the out the door price of $74,548. I was NEVER EVER told at any time that it was the General Manager’s demo vehicle. Until after the contract was drawn up in black and white. The Invoice stated milage 856. It wasn’t until 11hours before boarding a plane to Texas from North Carolina the salesman text me (not a phone call) an image of the dash cluster showing the true mileage of 3,729.8. I Immediately called the salesman, he indeed conformed that this indeed was the true mileage and the General Manager advised there would not be any further discussion to lowering or offerings to make this wrong right. The high price of a NEW Truck stands for a used model, no matter of the mileage. I was further told that the truck was the General Manager’s demo truck, He tried to put me at ease that the General Manager lived 5 miles down the road and has only had it for a month…hmm? So here I am 9pm faced with a dilemma do I lose a one-way ticket of $500 for a plane, or get on a plane to Texas stuck at the control & mercy of Rockwell Ford options or no clue of how I would return home to North Carolina when the day is done? Let me add that the communication was awful throughout the entire experience. I even hired a car broker who advised me of how hard the communication was between the salesmen, mangers and the General Manager. I was told these so-called professionals were extremely rude and cavalier of a deal to purchasing the vehicle. The General Manager sent me two generic emails if there’s anything he can do to make a deal go smoothly to reach out. I, after calling the General Manager directly, leaving messages with the receptionist, I never received a return call or email. So, in summary I am a first responder that has been on the front lines consistently since COVID-19 began, working hard for the public, with the threat of bringing the virus home every time I’m tasked to medica call, CPR after CPR! It is a MUST that I always have a reliable vehicle. (Hunger, Fear, weather, holidays, etc.) no matter the task when called upon we go because we knew the risk. I ‘m not wealthy just a blue-collar worker good at saving and It felt good break open the piggy bank. I earn my paycheck! Every day on duty to lose funds unnecessarily (car rentals, an auto adviser, plane tickets, and the loss in credit score) with nothing to show for in the end. *After establishing the out the door price, your so called rebates are added back at the top into the dealers price, so they don’t lose any extra cash, then they add regulated fees and taxes, oh along there high bs fee’s and added equipment that I was told was already added in the price. After reading other customers reviews, I felt the need to report this dealership, so no other unsuspecting consumer goes into a deal with Rockwall Ford blindsided. More
Rockwall Ford does all of my service for me. The service is easy to set up and they make it effective from set up to paying. I normally rate them pretty good, but the last oil change i had an appt and sat there 2 hours for an oil change . The work performed was as to be expected but they tell you everything that was inspected needs to be replaced even though it was replaced 2 weeks prior.
