Service advice regarding older SUV I was shopping for a CPO SUV or lease in 10/15. Well maintained older Durango (leather, 4.7 and still fab) was not steering or stopping right (ABS). I was shopping for a CPO SUV or lease in 10/15. Well maintained older Durango (leather, 4.7 and still fab) was not steering or stopping right (ABS). Suspension, ball joints all fixed twice. Awesome SUV. I dropped $3,300 in November and it drove great for 2 months; now warning light and as per my mechanic, transmission is going? First problem ever with hard core insides (transmission, engine, etc). Second opinion by real truck mechanic and TBD, keeping an eye on fluids and warning lights... I appreciate the follow up by Rockland Jeep/Dodge to my complaint and I will keep you posted. Please note the corrections Christopher & Cassandra! Apologies Eugene as I've never met you and I'm not sure how you were flagged with bad review. Congrats on Durango high rankings for 2015, 2016 versions. The 2001 is rock solid truck. More
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sid is combative, rude, likes to talk rather than listen and is COMPLETELY incompetent in dealing with customers. Why make an already irate customer Sid is combative, rude, likes to talk rather than listen and is COMPLETELY incompetent in dealing with customers. Why make an already irate customer even more angry? I've been a successful business owner for 8 years and prior to that I was a Client Relations Manager for a major US corporation. He is vile and deplorable. Refuses to let you speak to anyone above him even though supposedly his bosses have an "open door" policy. I brought my 2007 Dodge Sprinter in for service over a week ago. It was in "limp mode" Soot had blocked the EGR valves as well as the DPS and the Catalytic converter. My local mechanic had given me what codes the check engine light was reading. I knew exactly what i was in for as far as roundabout price and cost. I explained to Angie in full detail what was to be changed out and done. The vehicle also needed brakes (which my guy could have done for 1/3 the price as this dealership). I didn't want more down time so I agreed to the $2k brakes. I hope they're diamond studded...I brought it in Thursday 1/7/16. I was called by Angie and told it was done on Saturday 1/9/16. I had to pick it up Sunday 1/10/16 as we were away Saturday. As I made the right hand turn going up Rt. 59 (barely a mile away), I noticed the van was still sluggish. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and figured maybe some highway driving would resolve the issue. The van refused to go more than 60 mph on the NYS Thruway. It took over 2 miles after coming to a complete stop at the toll booth to get it close to 60 mph again. Going down a hill, you could feel the van "let go" and coast up to 71. The immediate following hill, I videoed (as you need evidence with this dealership) the speedometer going from 71 to barely 55. Obviously what I asked to be done was not and I paid over $2k for a repair that did NOTHING. First thing Monday morning I called back to talk with the Service Manager (Sid). He swore up and down that his Sprinter tech is amazing and that we must be wrong. Ummmmm....No. If you literally stand on the gas pedal, and the van no go vrooom, it's the same issue as before. I know, I know, I'm a woman...what the xxxx could I possibly know? (about this repair I've had done 6 times in 113k miles...ugghhh) I brought the van back in on Thursday. I was told it would be looked at immediately. No call at all Thursday. To me, that's the dealer saying "What can we tell them? How can we make this look like their problem? Let's get our ducks in a row." In the company I formerly worked for, that was a daily meeting! Friday morning, Angie calls and says that what the van needs now (same thing I told her it needed a week ago) was going to cost $7500 (In addition to the $4,100 they already nailed me for). BUT because we have spent so much money ($12,045.20 on repairs in 18 months) they want to "do right" by us and do the repair "at cost" which from what Angie said was $2,100. TALK ABOUT MARKUP!!!! WHOOOOOOO!!!!! When I told her I wasn't paying for the repair because they didn't do what was asked of them the first time, I also demanded to speak to not only Sid, but his boss as well. 4 hours goes by. No call. I call, they put me through to Angie's voicemail. 3 hours goes by. No call. The woman who answered the phone and transferred me to Angie's voicemail neglected to tell me that she had left early for a wake. This woman also knew that I was not happy and had been waiting all day for a status. Mind you, for (at this point) my van has been sitting with NOTHING being done. Sid FINALLY calls back and states he had been trying to reach me on two different numbers, but that he was getting a "number is not in service" message. That doesn't even make sense. Two different numbers? My lawyer, customers, oncologist, father and accountant had no problem getting through. Nor did I when trying from my cell. I call xx! Sid refused to listen to anything I had to say, and when I tried getting loud to be heard over him, he yelled at me for getting loud. In reading the reviews of him and his service center, this was to be expected. He has lied to customers, made promises to credit services for their short comings and then reneged. I demanded to speak to his boss first thing this morning. Sid called this morning stating his boss had "no interest in talking with me at this point". So much for that "open door" policy. Then I got yelled at for "trashing" the dealership online. I have every right to warn the world of their lack of service. He started the conversation with "I'm calling to find out what you want us to do about the repair", barely got that out of his mouth before telling me that he and the owner wanted the van off the premises. A class action lawsuit against this fraudulent company in both sales and service is currently being looked at and the news media has been contacted. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS DEALER! THEY ARE MORE DEADLY THAN THE STAGE IV CANCER I HAVE!! More
Awful customer service Purchased a brand new Grand Cherokee here based on a recommendation by my father in law who purchased two vehicles from them. Right from the moment I Purchased a brand new Grand Cherokee here based on a recommendation by my father in law who purchased two vehicles from them. Right from the moment I drive it off of the lot, there were issues. The all of the electronics continually shut off. That included the instrument cluster, speedometer, navigating. Brought it back to the dealership immediately where it stayed for more than a week. After the vehicle was returned to me, the engine light came on and the transmission started shifting erratically and I brought it back to the dealership where it sat for another few days. This has continued for months on end. After bringing the issue to the service manager (Barry), I was told, "we turned the engine light off, what the xxxx more do you want?." Needless to say I will never buy another Chrysler vehicle or deal with this dealership again. More

I drove my car in the service drive after valet checked me in, I walked in and got welcomed by a lovely young lady. I left the truck for the day, mid day I received a phone call with a few things my truck may need with great pricing for guaranteed and warrantied work. Angie (who was the young lady who helped me) was the most pleasant and knowledgeable professional service personal I have yet to deal with. I would highly recommend her the dealer ship and the mechanics who have help me make my truck with little over than 75k feel brand new again! More
Mistreated Disabled Marine Corps Veteran I can't help to agree with all the positives reviews about the sales department but not one review on their service department. This is the second Jee I can't help to agree with all the positives reviews about the sales department but not one review on their service department. This is the second Jeep Grand Cherokke that I own from Rockland Jeep. Both times the sales department has been excellent. Both Jeeps had major failures and recalls that required me to bring It in to the service department, this is where the Jeep nightmare began. Not only was the service staff unprofessional but my latest Jeep was damaged while in the hands of this department. While the right way to get to a part is to remove the cover or shields blocking access, Rockland Jeeps has a different way. They instead cut the covers out of the way to access the part that needed to be replaced. Now leaving my Jeep with damaged parts. To add insult to injury I was told by their management that this matter would be taken care off and that discounts would be applied to the invoice. When I arrived at Jeep to pick up my vehicle I once again was assured that everything was taken care of and that all I had to do was see the cashier for payment. All lies not one thing promised was honored no discount no repair to parts damaged. Spoke to same manager again and now was told by this same gentleman that there was nothing that Jeep would do. I then explained to them how poor their customer service was and that is no way to treat and lie to a local Rockland county Disabled Marine Corps Veteran. Was then sarcastically told to have a nice day! More
Disappointing service and ownership Had car in 3 separate times for same problem with in 6 weeks, nearly 3K. Mechanics must not be certified as they clearly had no clue. Service reps pro Had car in 3 separate times for same problem with in 6 weeks, nearly 3K. Mechanics must not be certified as they clearly had no clue. Service reps provided bad customer service and even observed punishing customers for the shop's mietakes. Service management tries to assist somewhat but not managing staff & operations well. Ownership is cocky and not committed to keeping customers. More
I have a brand new 2014 Jeep Trailhawk that had a couple of trim issues. There were 2 trim sections that were damaged during manufacturing. Heath did a great job of working with me to get the parts installe of trim issues. There were 2 trim sections that were damaged during manufacturing. Heath did a great job of working with me to get the parts installed for me. Knowing that I live over 45 miles from the dealership he understands how difficult it is for me to alter my schedule and he also realized how upset I was that "to me" my car did not yet look brand new due to these appearance problems. He worked with my schedule and was able to get the job done and make me very happy. It was a pleasure to work with somebody in the service industry that actually will do what he has to do to get the job done while keeping a customer happy and satisfied. Thank you for having a person of this caliber in your Service Department. More
The service advisor told me he had snow tires in stock. They did not. The simple service I came in to get done took 2 days....service that should have taken no more than 2 hours. Why would anyone bring t They did not. The simple service I came in to get done took 2 days....service that should have taken no more than 2 hours. Why would anyone bring their car here, and I bought this car here, when I can get better service from people who genuinely want my business. Who likes to walk in to a service area and everyone look down at there desks or computers? No one says good morning we will be with you in a few minutes. Terrible service. The only quality guy there was the guy who checked me in to the garage. More

I am writing in regards to my recent experience with this Jeep Service Department. Marco was the main service advisor that I dealt with after being involved in a motor vehicle accident. Marco dealt with me Jeep Service Department. Marco was the main service advisor that I dealt with after being involved in a motor vehicle accident. Marco dealt with me from the day my brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee was towed into the dealership lot (with a considerable amount of damage). He was courteous, helpful, understanding and patient. Marco had to deal with me, his service department personnell and also BOTH insurance company appraisers !! Marco was the "man in the middle" of all of these confusing aspects, demands and discrepancies. Additionally, I dealt with Andres who fielded my calls & questions when Marco was unavailable; & who was a wonderful right hand man !! Both of these employees were fabulous !! I would not have asked for anything more out of either of these gentlemen . . . And when all was finally said and done, I was accomodated with a washing and cleaning of my wonderfully repaired vehicle - (which was better than new!) I was very please with the service, accomodations and treatment; & would recommend this dealership, and these employees to anyone ! Thank you Marco ! . . . & to you too Andres . . . for everything :) More
