I had been to several dealerships BOTH in NY & NJ I have to say when I arrived at Rockland Dodge in Nanuet, everyone was very pleasant and I was shopping with my daughter. A salesman approached me in a very pleasant manner NOT LIKE some of the other dealerships they were on top of me and pushy, NOT Jay Murali. He was very polite, businesslike but NOT overbearing as some salesman can be. He was approachable, very informative and accomodating. He walked me around asked what me needs and price range were. He explained options to me that I was never informed about at the several other dealerships. This allowed me to get my 2011 Dodge Journey which I really Love. I cannot say enough about Jay as I would absolutely recommend my friends to Rockland Dodge and have Jay Murali as their salesman. Actually I had a co-worker stop by to see him already. More
I am very happy with my purchase although it did take a bit longer than I anticipated. Originally, we were just going to return our lease, pay what we owed, and walk away from the dealership. We had become increasingly frustrated with the dealership in the past year to year and a half. The only reason we came in to look at another vehicle was Carlos Taveras' pleasant and respectful attitude on the phone with my wife. Our time in the dealership was equally pleasant. We came in with three of our children and at no time did we feel like we were a burden. Mr. Taveras was pleasant and kind to us. At no time did we feel pressured into buying a car. He answered all of our questions with courtesy and thoroughness. We know the dealership is in business to make money, but in the end, our happiness was just as important to both Mr. Tavares and Mr. Santana. I am extremely happy with my dealings with this dealership. More
After visiting 4 other Jeep dealerships in New Jersey, I thought I would try one more, Rockland JCD, to see if they could do better on the price. And they did! I visited Rockland Jeep with my husband and thought I would try one more, Rockland JCD, to see if they could do better on the price. And they did! I visited Rockland Jeep with my husband and my three month old at the time. The lease on my Audi was almost up and I needed to get into something bigger now that i had an infant. We were greeted immediately. We did not have to wait, or look around for someone to assist us. They did not play the typically "price games" that every other dealer played. There was absolutely no back and forth. My husband told Rick what the other dealers had quoted us on, and we asked him if he could do better. Rick beat the lowest price by $17 a month. He was not pushy at all. He was EXTREMELY friendly and customer service oriented. (I have to note that during this transaction, I needed to nurse my 3 month old, and Rick let me use a private office for my convenience and privacy. As a new mother, this meant the world to me!!!) We did order the car from Rockland and were told it would take 6-8 weeks. I called Rick 3 times a week (minimally) asking for an update as to when my Jeep would arrive. He did not seem irritated at all! When he was going on vacation for a week, he even gave me the name of the person I could contact during his absence. By the end of the eight week, my Jeep still had not arrived (not because of the dealer, but because of the factory delays). Rick called me and informed me that a different color than the one I had ordered had come in, and he asked me if I would prefer to have that one or wait for my original color. I decided to take the Silver and I picked it up 6 hours later!!! Rick was AWESOME!!!! Donte assisted me with all the paperwork and Carlos went over every inch of the Jeep with me. He explained every feature thoroughly. Rick, Donte, and Carlos all said a million times before I left the dealership, "If you need anything, anything at all, please call me." Carlos also called me a few days later to follow up to see if there is anything I needed or if I had any questions. He was so great! He absolutely made me feel comfortable knowing that i could call him with any questions I may have. Rick, Donte, and Carlos were above and beyond in their professionalism and customer service. They beat all other Jeep dealers in not only the price, but the way they treated us. Thank you Rockland Jeep for helping me to have a safe vechicle for my family. More
I didn't like the process of the salesman going back and forth to the sales manager. I know this is a standard practice, but it makes me feel I am wasting my time talking with a salesman. I worked with this dealer and another near by Jeep dealer at the same time. They both had "Good" customer service and were very close in price (after I showed them a quote from USAA's car buying service). I ended up purchasing my Jeep from this dealership instead of the other one partly because I liked the salesman, but mostly because they were able to find the color I wanted. I would have rated customer service and friendliness as "Great," but upon my second trip to the dealership I worked with a different salesman (don't remember his name). It was obvious that he didn't want to spend time on me after I told him I had already been working with a different salesman. I understand his lack of enthusiasm, but certainly did not appreciate it. One thing that I really did not appreciate with this dealership was that after I paid for a brand new Jeep, they wouldn't pay to fill the gas tank up to full. They only put in $20 (and I was charged for the $20!). I don't know if this is standard for all dealers in the area, but I think it reflects very poorly on the dealership's willingness to take care of their customer. More

We had a great experience purchasing our Town and Country mini van, We had originally went into the showroom to see the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Despite my initial feeling of "not a minivan", that is what we purchased. Don was not trying to SELL us something but managed to show us that what we didn't want, was really what we needed....I LOVE my new vehicle and the whole family does too. Negotiations were bearable and we didn't have to meet the manager etc...Don handled the sale and didn't have to get the management team involved(except for approval).It was the first time we bought a car that the experience didn't seem "hokey"!!! More
