2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe. Imagine going into a dealership for a recall and leaving with the recalls completed but also a bill of $311. Car had a check engine when I dropped it Imagine going into a dealership for a recall and leaving with the recalls completed but also a bill of $311. Car had a check engine when I dropped it off but at the time the service advisor said the recall cannot be completed unless the check engine light is cleared and then the advisor says it “should” be covered by the warranty and/or overlaps with the recall. Anyone would think that the diagnostics fee of $311 would be covered by the dealership. But silly me I was wrong. Instead of them checking to see if they can do that recall without servicing the check engine light they ran the diagnostics. They could not find the problem. I was told in order to look at it any further it would be $1100. I declined this “amazing” deal and said I’ll pick up the vehicle. I asked if the recalls were done and the service advisor said yes. So the reason why I am upset and feel like this service advisor and manager are no good because at the end of the day they were able to complete the recalls without having to diagnose the check engine light. After speaking to the manager I have reached a dead end and out of $311 because instead of admitting that they did not have to play me out of a diagnostics fee they could have just completed the recall and I take my car back as is. Also do not let them fool you by saying things such as the technician went above and beyond. The manager mentioned it was difficult for them to get into cylinder 3. It is absolutely not difficult. You just have to remove two vacuum hoses and a connector in order to get to cylinder 3. I would not recommend this service center the advisor will lie to you and hang up the phone on you. ***UPDATE 3/17/2025**** Look at the picture I have attached. Dealer paperwork stated fuel injector was “active”. Without taking the car apart you’re able to check the voltage of the fuel injector which how they would’ve diagnosed the problem. But they rather try to charge you an additional $1100 to “look further in” I can’t talk for the sales side but service advisor and manager are definitely crooks. More

I paid over 2k in service, I was told I was going to get pictures of the part that was replaced, I didn't get any pictures. I told the service person that I was picking up the truck Saturday morning, when pictures of the part that was replaced, I didn't get any pictures.
