Busted van My work van was down. I had replaced my alternator, received a defective one, replaced again still didn't repair the charging system issue. Took to a My work van was down. I had replaced my alternator, received a defective one, replaced again still didn't repair the charging system issue. Took to a mechanic who let me know my ECM was bad, I replaced it, still didn't repair system, but I thought there was a pretty good chance the alternator was getting fried by the ECM so I took off to go have tested at Oreillys, tested good 3 times. Threw my hands up and took to Robert Brogden. Kristie Brown was prompt and helpful. She communicated to me that the mechanic was confident it was the alternator...and I was pretty sure it wasn't but ok, replace that and it fixed the issue. I took the alternator that tested good at Oreillys to Advanced Auto Parts and failed on their system......so while this little venture into unraveling my sanity wasn't pleasant in the bigger picture, I appreciate that Kristie and the mechanic were accurate and my van got back up and running. Thanks Kristie, you deserve a cookie for listening to me explain all that and talking me into replacing the alternator. Have a nice holiday :) More
