They advertise a specific vehicle at a specific price across every medium, but when you get there it's "Oh sorry, that was a misprint. New price is 5 grand higher". Total con job. You can either pay their extortion tax to get what you came for, or they will try to sell you an older model with less features and higher mileage at the price they originally advertised. These guys exemplify why people loathe car dealers. More
What the xxxx I went to this dealer (Inkster location), looking for a used Cadillac Deville, and should have stayed home. The pictures online looked incredible, the I went to this dealer (Inkster location), looking for a used Cadillac Deville, and should have stayed home. The pictures online looked incredible, the vehicle looked so clean, but when I went to the dealer, I was faced with the cold hard truth. I had recieved the Carfax from the dealer roughly 2 hours before my scheduled test drive, at that time, I saw that the vehicle was listed as a "Total Loss", by the previous insurer....I got nervous. Upon seeing the vehicle, I saw that the quarter panel, and rear fender had pretty harsh damage, and it looked like a shop may have tried to bang out the dents, but did a poor job, the console indicated low coolant, and tire pressure. After my test drive, I asked the associate, why are these indications on, and what's up with the body damage (of which were not visible on the pics online), and he went on to say that the gasket may be bad, and it's not that big of a deal, and for the body damage...well you (meaning myself) could just heat up the panel, and bang it out.....IT'S A CADILLAC, YOU DON'T JUST "BANG IT OUT", from experience, I know that would be thousands of dollars in repair, hence why I deduce it was listed as a total loss, the body damage exceeded the cost of the vehicle, which was thousands of dollars. My question is "why would I pay full price, and then pay for repairs after purchase", I may as well just spend the extra money to buy something with no work needed (I did just that). As for the tire, he just said "it's just low".....well it's on your lot, shouldn't you check that before a potential buyer comes in. He also tried offering me a waranty that would bump my price up another couple of hundred bucks, and when I called the place, they said I'd have to fill out claim papers, etc., in short it would be a hassle if I ever needed to use it. Then on top of everything, even though I scheduled an appointment to view the vehicle, THIS GUY WAS DRIVING AROUND IN THE CAR RUNNING ERRANDS!?! Excuse my language, but what the xxxx?! The place is ran by one guy, while I'm sitting there waiting for this guy to come back with the car, I saw people drive up looking to buy, but left because no one was there. The guy running the place seems cool on general impressions, but I would suggest taking better care of the vehicles; xxxx if you're going to try and sell me a turd, at least try to make it a shiny turd! The car did not only have damage, but it was dirty on the inside, as if it had not been vacuumed, if it had been at least vacuumed, and polished, it may have given me the "Illusion" that the car was good. Don't go here. More
