If I could give them -zero as a star I would. First off let me start off by saying the salesman attitude was the ONLY good thing they had going for them. My son and myself walked into the Columbu First off let me start off by saying the salesman attitude was the ONLY good thing they had going for them. My son and myself walked into the Columbus GA Rivertown Subaru with a bank approval and the car we wanted. Viewed the 2024 Chevrolet Malibu with 53k miles and asked if the total price would be below the bank USAA approved number. They did the number and told us yes we were below the max amount the bank approved my son for. Now we test drive the car, it runs smoothly and the salesman is answering every question he knows the answer to about the car. Everything good so far, we get back to the dealership and we proceed to do the purchasing part on the USAA app. We get to the question of how the dealership wants to be paid and I ask the salesman how they want to be paid. The options are ACH transfer from USAA to the dealership (my choice) but the salesman says a paper check. So when I click the option to have the check mailed to them the bank has a message that says they don’t recommend sending a check to the dealership with a list of reasons. Cool I show the salesman and ask him if they can just do the transfer, he goes to ask someone he says is a manager that has been there for years and they say they don’t do transfer. At this point I know they are lying because my other son got an approval from USAA and I took him to Rivertown Toyota 2 years ago, he got a car, they did a bank transfer and he drove off after he got his insurance. So I'm telling the salesman to go talk to the head of finance because it can be done. This lady walks over and say she been there for years and never did a bank transfer, we can wait on the check to come in the mail and put a $500 hold deposit on the car so they won’t sale it while we have USAA to mail us the check and we come back to get the car. I told her no ma’am, that’s not how that works, why use I give you $500 to hold a car that the bank is sending money for so that you don’t sale it, all because y’all incompetent and don’t want to do bank transfer from our bank to the dealership bank. I told her that’s crazy. She goes on to say if we do a transfer the car still won’t leave the dealership until it clears which could still take a few days. I told her no ma’am that’s not how that works, she said that’s all we can do for you, as she fold her arms and I told her we would go somewhere else and walked off. The attitude of the all white staff was beyond crazy, the salesman Levi Sanders was great, but the two ladies managers were a piece of work. One didn’t even come over just dismiss the salesman as if she was so busy looking at us and telling him we don’t do transfers. And the other bob cut ladies just acting as if we were trying to take a car without paying. That experience was crazy, mind you I’m a married mother of 7, kids doing great, one about to go into the military, one in Hawaii in the army, my son in college who needs the car in college on a football scholarship whose truck broke down. Then my other 4 kids are in regular school ages 13, and 9 with my 2 of my kids are kids that I took guardianship over in October of 2020 because their mother didn’t want them. I have 4 vehicles, 2 are paid off and I currently drive a brand new 2025 Hyundai Palisade. So the fact that you would downplay our intelligence as if we would steal the car because you don’t do transfers, wait on check, then you can’t do a transfer without it clearing in a few days is crazy. Very unprofessional establishment. More
