I made an APPOINTMENT to have my oil changed in my 2012 DENALI Truck.for 9:00 am. I dropped off the truck at 8:44 am and went to eat breakfast with my wife at a nearby restaurant. I returned to the service DENALI Truck.for 9:00 am. I dropped off the truck at 8:44 am and went to eat breakfast with my wife at a nearby restaurant. I returned to the service department after eating and waited for awhile in my wife’s car. After 30 minutes of waiting, I let her go home ASSURING her that it would not be much LONGER! Needless to say, I WAS WRONG…I continued to wait in the customer lounge until truck was finished! LONG STORY short…total time from dropping off truck to driving out with truck was 4 HOURS! I have used this dealership since purchasing my truck years ago and have NEVER had to wait THIS LONG. Since we live out of town I could NOT just go home and wait. To conclude… The staff was courteous BUT the wait was MISERABLE!!! I may have to RETHINK my future oil changes, GREASE xxxxxx is looking inviting! More
Bought a Yukon in 03/2023 and got screwed over on the taxes when I went to get my tag. Was told they took out enough to cover everything and well the check barely covered half and ended up paying over $8 taxes when I went to get my tag. Their system apparently hadn’t been updated in two years because that was the last time my county updated the tax rate. I realize what they take out might not cover it all but they were short $800. I have bought several vehicles in Georgia and have never had this issue. I have talked to people who have bought in Georgia before and they had never had an issue like this either. Trying to get them to do anything about it is impossible. On top of that I was charged a penalty because I didn’t get my tag in time because they were late getting it out to me. Customer service is a joke. Bad thing is we got suckered into a warranty that can only be used there. Worst experience buying from them. More
I did my research when I bought my Buick. I wanted to ensure not only had I had a reliable car but also I would be provided good service. When I first came to the service department Mr Gregg I wanted to ensure not only had I had a reliable car but also I would be provided good service. When I first came to the service department Mr Gregg was a really nice guy. He was kind and helped me out. But that changed when I came back from trying to get a rental car which I was promised with the warranty 1. I was told i could not receive a rental car because i didn’t have a proper brick and mortar bank card for the deposit. Buick is a million dollar company where I bank should not prevent me from getting a rental car. There should be a system in place. I live completely alone and my car is my only transportation. I have no friends or family here to help me out. I also have a health condition that had been sending me to the emergency room and i so afraid of what might happen. I had to pay for a driver to take me to the store to get dog food to last me the weekend. Of course it all seems silly but not to the person who was promised a rental car. 2. When I returned I was upset but i didn’t get loud. But I did get attitude. I was told that it was my fault because I didn’t have the proper bank card. Where I choose to bank should not have any affect on anything. 3. I grew up in the Army so this is not something I ever said before. But i don’t feel I would have been talked to in the manner in which I had should I have been a male 4. When I talked to the boss about how I felt. I was told that it was not possible because most women that come there know more about cars than many men. I was told that he heard and everything was done to help me. I explained I did not get upset at him because of the rental. I was upset because of the way was being talked to. He made me state my issue in front of everybody. That there shows that you can’t even express how you feel without again being made to feel uncomfortable. I should have been pulled into another room. Not in front of everyone. I am honestly one of the nicest people you will ever meet. But I WILL NEVER BUY A BUICK OR GO TO RIVERTOWN GMC AGAIN FOR SERVICE. I just will never understand why there could not have been a little kindness and respect granted even if you disagreed with me. I HAVE NEVER HAD A PLACE MAKE ME FEEL MORE UNCOMFORTABLE AND WRONG FOR THE WAY I FELT AS A CUSTOMER. I was told I shouldn’t have never brought car from CarMax but CarMax has NEVER TREATED me the way Rivertown GMC did. More
09-21-2021 Replaced Recalled Front Passenger Airbag - New FOB and Key for 2010 Silverado as I had recently purchased this vehicle and scheduled the recall on airbag. As I am the only operator and the vehicle FOB and Key for 2010 Silverado as I had recently purchased this vehicle and scheduled the recall on airbag. As I am the only operator and the vehicle has not had any other service, I was surprised to find the owners manual was missing from the glove box. I reported this to the Service Advisor and I thought the technician might have forgot to put the manual back in the vehicle. The Advisor said he would check and let me know. No response. I checked back again and nothing. I know the manual was in the truck when I went to have the airbag replaced and it was no longer there when I needed to check out something in the manual. I had the vehicle checked out at another location and had to replace both Stabilizer Link Pins, air up a flat spare tire and secure the spare tire. The previous owner had depended on Rivertown GMC to perform maintenance and keep the vehicle operational. I think his trust was misplaced. I will not be returning to this location nor will I recommend your service department. More
Did not disclose damage in the walk through video, countless texts and phone calls. We met up to purchase it and already had the cashiers check for the agreed upon amount (per their description) and b countless texts and phone calls. We met up to purchase it and already had the cashiers check for the agreed upon amount (per their description) and because they lied to us, we would NOT have paid what we did for the car but we already had the check made. So they knew when I told them I wanted to offer less, they had me where they wanted me. They say they wanted to make it right but have yet to reply to my emails inquiring how they plan to do that. Buyers beware! More
