I liked the salesman who I dealt with and I have had good service from their service department, but before I would recommend Riverside, I would make a potential buyer aware of the review that follows. In May of 2017 I had an unpleasant car buying experience at Riverside Toyota in Rome, Ga. The car I purchased was recently in an accident, resulting in a total loss, thus requiring a replacement. Due to my 2017 experience, Riverside was not our first choice of a dealership this time around. After not being able to find what I considered a very good price on the car I wanted at other dealerships and due to the proximity of Riverside to my home, I returned to Riverside to see if they had in stock or could locate the exact car I was looking for and if they could sell it at a certain "drive out the door price" whether I paid cash for the vehicle or financed it.. I communicated this to Heather Smith, one of Riverside's Sales Managers, during a morning phone call. Riverside did not have the vehicle in stock, but two hours later Ms. Smith found a vehicle and emailed me an "out the door price quote sheet and a spec sheet on the vehicle she located. The out the door price was close to my price and after further non productive negotiations, I decided to accept Riverside's "out the door price". At the time of purchase Toyota was offering special financing of 1.9% APR with a $500 bonus to the buyer that had to be applied toward the purchase price. I planned to take Riverside's "out the door price" apply the $500 bonus and finance through Toyota @ 1.9%. When I went to the dealership to put down a deposit, while the vehicle was being delivered to Riverside, I was told that if I used the Toyota 1.9% financing that the "out the door price" on the "Quote Sheet"would increase by $1250. (Technically the $1250 was part of the "customer discount" on the quote sheet) Once the $1250 was added, then the $500 bonus would be deducted and that would be the "new out the door price" that could be financed at 1.9%. (a $750 net increase in price) Although Ms. Smith says she remembers mentioning this to me verbally during a phone call, I considered the WRITTEN QUOTE OF THE "OUT THE DOOR PRICE" TO BE THE "OUT THE DOOR PRICE'. This was true as long as you did not use Toyota 1.9% financing. The written price quote was not truly transparent as it did not say anything about the above. I do not think this was intentional on the part of Riverside, but that it was just common knowledge of anyone working in sales and the idea of noting it in writing on an emailed quote sheet, so as to be truly transparent, was just overlooked. It would have been so simple to include a statement on the quote sheet, even if handwritten, noting that the quoted price was not valid if Toyota financing was used. Bottom line I bought the car and financed through a credit union but over the life of the loan, I will pay approximately $1300. more overall than I would have if I had been able to use the Toyota financing at Riverside's "out the door price" on their quote sheet. If you go to Riverside for a vehicle, I would recommend asking for Greg Flowers. He is the salesman who walked me through the actual purchase. He was extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle I purchased and he remained way past the dealership's closing time to answer questions I had about the vehicle before I departed. Also Greg was not involved in the pricing issue mentioned above. More

I have dealt with many car dealerships in the past and also many salesmen. Tedd makes it worth my while to deal with Riverside Toyota in Rome, GA. He is very sincere and really cares about his customers! You don't always find that at all dealerships. I have dealt with Tedd Long on several occasions now and he is THE best salesman around in my opinion! Make sure you ask for him if you're in the market for a new vehicle! I can't say enough nice things about him and Riverside Toyota as a whole. The service department is amazing too! More

When I wanted to see the cars I found the best guy there to help me. His name was Don Davis. I've never seen a salesman as caring or as attentive to detail. He made sure we were comfortable and understood all about out C-HR. I've told everybody about my experience with Riverside Rome and Don Davis. It was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. More
