The worst dealership I have ever visited. Twice they have let me drive over an hour to see a car that was not even available. Appointments and promises mean nothing to them. STAY AWAY! Purchased a vehicle from this dealership in April 2022. When we purchased I asked to have our mechanic check out the vehicle before purchasing due to the fact that it did not have an accompanying warranty. I was offered several additional warranties for a few extra thousand dollars which were not in the budget, hints the need for a mechanic’s evaluation. The salesman was nice but stated that under no circumstance could we take it to a mechanic to check it over. I should have known then that something was wrong, but the salesman reassured me that it was standard practice for all dealerships to refuse such an accommodation and that its reputation is on the line. Because the vehicle had less than 50k miles, I didn’t see the risk as being so high as to not move forward. So here I am with my only recourse, affect their reputation. Turns out the vehicle had several issues, not limited to its power train, alignment, check engine lights started coming and they would not stop. Several thousands of dollars later and I’m finally getting rid of it. I expect more from a Toyota dealership especially one that touts its pre-owned inspection like a badge of integrity. I’m sure that had an independent mechanic performed a similar inspection, these issues would have been clearly identifiable. Do better, Riverside Toyota. My advice to anyone that will purchase from these folks is to demand that your mechanic look it over or walk away. It’s not worth it. More

AIMEE BOURNE said the vehicle would arrive around October 20th, but it didn't arrive until October 21st. Meanwhile, JEFF SHEDD is the most scoundrel I've ever met. He said I must pay all the money today or he'll sell the car to someone else. I've already paid the deposit, but I'm supposed to send him the check before the vehicle arrives. I don't see the point of my deposit anymore. I can't understand why a car dealer would charge a customer for everything before the car is ready. It is highly unlikely that anyone would buy or sell a car in this shop. More
Let me start by saying it would be 5 stars just for Cole Waldrop he is absolutely caring towards customers wants and voices and worked hard to get the vehicle we were looking for. HOWEVER Jeff Shedd was a Waldrop he is absolutely caring towards customers wants and voices and worked hard to get the vehicle we were looking for. HOWEVER Jeff Shedd was absolutely miserable to work with, wouldn’t talk to women only addressed men, there is an issue with a vehicle we were looking to purchase which had DUCT TAPE coving the problem and he said “it’s just cosmetic” when it is clearly electrical (flashing light is considered cosmetic?) not professional in the slightest. He also treated an older gentleman very poorly before we even encountered him. Steer clear of him and look for tape when looking at used vehicles. More

Went in for oil change and tire rotation appointment and came out with a broken hood latch, oil on the mat and carpet, the brake fluid an inch past the max line, air that would barely blow out of the vents came out with a broken hood latch, oil on the mat and carpet, the brake fluid an inch past the max line, air that would barely blow out of the vents even though it sounded as if the fan was on high, and air condition that no longer cooled. Took back and the service guy fixed the latch, then told me it would be $159. To have the A/C checked. I told him that was not what I was told. He said there was nothing they could have done to cause it to stop working. I told him to give me my keys and car so I could leave. He asked if I wanted to talk to the manager who told him this and I declined and again asked for my keys and car. When I got to my car the manager was standing at it. He repeated what I was told already and I asked if they took out the brake fluid and he told me yes. He popped the hood and it was still full and he told me it was fine. I told him that Toyota has a Max line on their reservoir for a reason and I wanted it taken down to the max line. He looked and again repeated they had done nothing wrong. I left there and had a mechanic tell me indeed they had done something and to have a diagnostics done at Auto Zone to see if it threw any codes. I had it checked and was told zero codes, but to go see an independent auto mechanic they trusted. Kelvin had my car all of 10 minutes and discovered that it had been completely evacuated of the refrigerant. He put refrigerant in for $45. and it now works just fine. He stated that he would go to Riverside Toyota and make sure they know how mad I am and that someone there had to of evacuated the system on purpose. There was no way it could have been completely evacuated on its own. How do you pull in one door of the service department with the system running and out the other door with it not running, hood latch broken, brake fluid over filled, oil over filled, tire pressure not matching, and oil on your floor mat and carpet, etc. and it not be the service department's fault????
